I know some people absolutely hate how much planning is required for Disney but for me it's part of the fun. I can see how most people probably don't want to think about dining reservations 180 days before you even arrive in Florida or what rides you'll want to ride on what day 60 days before, but if you don't do that, you're going to have a bad time. For us, it's insanely fun and gets us hyped.

Thanks?

Haha that came out wrong. I just meant in terms of planning. It did make that trip 1000x better.

Werner Horzog or Paul F Tomkins as Werner Herzog. Either way, man.

Tatooine is based on a real place: Tataouine, Tunisia.

(Moved because dodint will dodint otherwise)

It's funny, because they didn't actually film anything in that town. But where they did film, they just tended to use the existing structures pretty much as-is, with very little set decoration or design. A lot of the places are still in place today, and they look as they do in the movie, albeit even more run down; Gareth Edwards actually visited some of the sets as part of a 30th birthday homage (ten years before he was hired to direct Rogue One) because he's such a fanboi.

But it was filmed near Tataouine, wasn't it?

This is a fan film approved by Lucasarts. It's pretty good actually.

Pretty solid. Gotta love it when a 12-minute short has a 4-minute credit roll.

I would honestly like to see a movie set during that transitional period between the Clone Wars and the original trilogy like was in the fan film. I'm talking closer to the Clone Wars. I just think it's cool seeing a mix between prequel/original trilogy designs.

When does Disney's deal with Netflix end? With their own streaming service coming soon, these Disney films won't last much longer on Netflix.

I'm not sure. Sometime in the fall, I think?

Technically I think the Disney/Netflix deal ended on 12/31, but I still don't think a decision has been made regarding the inclusion of Lucasfilm and Marvel productions. (Obviously they aren't yet including them, with those new announcements)
