Meowed in a response to meow. I’m hanging it up for the day

Interesting follow up on this.............. I thought they might be setting Mosk up for some sort of arc into Se2, maybe he saw the ramifications of totalitarianism and he found it distasteful and became a rebel! or whatever. But the actor recently said that he hasn't booked anything for Se2, which is already filming. So............. that's just where we leave him. That was strange, and then Mosk was just sitting in an alley at the end of the episode. Very strange indeed.
In a way, that's cool. Not every story needs a bow and ribbon.

Finished Andor last night. Man was that a good one. Can't wait for season 2.
Star Wars discussion (SPOILERS INCLUDED)
So far the 'Andorverse' is my favorite incarnation of SW, both in the short form of TV and in the cinema. But I don't want Star Wars to become this any more than I want all the movies to become like Rogue One. The secret sauce of SW is still space fantasy imo. But so long as every now and then we get more grounded storytelling like this as a counterbalance, the nearly 50-year old adult in me that grew up with the stories in this universe will appreciate that immensely.

The problem is they haven't given us a good "space fantasy" Star Wars since Force Awakens. (feel free to replace that with Last Jedi if you're one of those people)
By the way, I wouldn't consider Mando space fantasy. Space western maybe.

They certainly lean on Western tropes for storytelling in Mando, but it is 100% fantasy. They have given us loads of good space fantasy since TFA, you just don't like watching any of it.
(And I will gladly concede that BOBF and OWK were largely exercises in bedshittery and failing to meet expectations. Especially frustrating because those expectations were so relatively low in the cast of BOBF.)

We talking about cartoons again?
I really love Mando season 1. It's nearly 100% stranger comes to town western serial. There's obviously some of the space fantasy stuff in there but overall, it's fairly far away from a classic Star Wars space fantasy.

I know the cartoons aren't your cup of tea, but you're really missing some good content. And that's from a guy who isn't a big cartoon person either.

Mando is as much Lone Wolf and Cub Japanese manga. And I say that today wearing a Mando t-shirt with "this is the way" in Japanese.
The point is, it's all space fantasy. Different stories cobble in different influences, and trade in different styles to tell space fantasy stories, sometimes leaning more into the stylistic choices than the overarching story milieu. (I like using words like that, milieu............ oooooooh, look at Tif) That is what the IP is at its core; the secret sauce that took millennia old story tropes (e.g. "Hero's Journey" n'at) and skinned it with something new and modern.

Agree. It's a huge universe with plenty of stories that can be told in many different ways. That's what makes Star Wars great IMO. You don't need the same template.

It can be a huge universe with stories told in many different ways. I don't think it has been that at all, especially not the "huge universe" part. And yes, I'm talking live action because that's the only thing I care about.

Part of the different ways of telling the stories is via animation.
"Well, not that way, geez. What do you take me for, Belgian???"

It's definitely good to have stories for the kiddos.

It was established that the intro music for Andor was different for each episode, changing with the story and tenor of the plot. Here are all 12 intros compiled into one supercut.
It's pretty cool that the theme of the show was Maarva's funeral dirge. That makes the music diegetic and of the world.

Placing here for politeness reasons
Just started playing Jedi: Fallen Order. So far (about 5-6 hours in) it is really fun, and the story seems to be a worthy addition to the lore. This is the first SW game I've played since KOTOR. lol

Nice. I need to finish it. I had the EA Play Pro sub and canceled it before finishing it. Sequel comes out in March.

I never finished either after getting bored with one of the puzzles. I do like the kid from Shameless as the lead.

The ending is baller. Hopefully you have an easier time getting back to the surface of Zeffo than I did.

S**t, I'm on Zeffo now. lol
Hopefully you're talking about a return trip later in the campaign.

It's been a while, I don't exactly remember the order of planets you visit/return to. I just remember getting frustrated trying to return to the surface from the bowels of the imperial installation. BD's map sucks.
