It's Chapter 3, not Episode III. Tsk.

I agree on that and I think episode 7 will not look as good as time moves on.

Episode 3 of Mandalorian
I could have done without the salute at the end but that's not that big a deal. I agree with what you said Tiff about the client and will be interested to see how long it takes for the season to take the helmet off of Mando because I know that's going to happen.

Also I loved the shot of the Droid that was blowing everything up in the flashbacks.
I think the salute was simply a shout-out to Joe Johnston, who designed Boba Fett and directed The Rocketeer.

Mando is so good, I can't believe I'm waking up and want to watch the episode again. The lone, wolf and cub theme is awesome. I am very interested in seeing how it's going to tie into the next movie. So the way Dr Pershing was talking about yoda bebe being so healthy, do we think he's a clone that worked out?

Mando
also pretty cool that Jon favreau voiced the big mando guy in this episode and his name was Paz Vizla. Favreau also voiced Pre Vizla on clone wars

A few observations:

- We watched CHAPTER 3 together last night, and Mrs Tif teared up. Twice. They've got a winner, folks.

- I am more convinced with each new CHAPTER that this show will tie in to EpIX, and vice versa

- Can't wait for CHAPTER 4.

Important question...How does Disney not have Baby Yoda dolls on the market already?

I think it was just to preserve the surprise. There are t-shirts on Amazon, and I'm sure a range of other soft goods, apparel, and plushies will be in the channel in the next week or so.

And I am 100% for sure getting a plushie.

I ventured over to r/StarWars to see some opinions. What a miserable bunch of NTP66s. All the internet experts out in full force decrying the dialogue, editing, sound mixing, etc etc. Nothing more humorous than a Star Wars fan dodinting that the new speeders and jet pack Stormtroopers are nothing more than a ploy to sell more toys. STAR WARS WAS BUILT ON TOYS YOU IGNORANT ****.

Anyways, I liked the clip.

It's almost as if they weren't alive when Lucas got the merch (and sequel) rights in exchange for no increase in his director's fee, which allowed him to finance Ep V and VI independent of Hollywood. He leveraged $350,000 into a $5 billion empire.

Man, remember the loopy proof of purchase nonsense that first Christmas? 4-year old me manifestly did not approve of this arrangement.
