My only issue with that episode was the T-4 pilot saying he was on the Death Star, but being like 19 years old in this episode.
I liked that part you Canaan

Ho

leee

s**t
Sorta wanted his first line of dialog to be "I'm Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you." Haha

I just rewatched a relevant scene from ROTJ, and I have questions.
More thoughts later.

I told my kids while he was walking in that if he said that I would die and that they needed to call an ambulance.

Shades of the final few minutes of Rogue One.
I had the exact same thought afterwards. Nice to see we got another "height of their powers" scene.
My only issue with that episode was the T-4 pilot saying he was on the Death Star, but being like 19 years old in this episode.
I guess he was on the second one, haha.

Also, I was always under the impression Mando took place kind of between Ep. 6 and 7, but
judging off Luke's look, it seems like it's much closer to coming maybe only like a decade after 6.
I knew it was him for sure when they showed his hand.
Shoot i totally missed that. I mean i kinda assumed that's who it was going to be anyway, but I guess I'll have to watch it again...not that I need an excuse, haha

I sorta kinda figured it'd be Luke, but I also kinda didn't want it to be Luke, if you follow me. However, they absolutely nailed it in execution, so we good. Mrs Tif and I were both just absolutely ugly crying the last five minutes...... shoot, I just watched it again now and I'm ugly crying into my rum-and-coke.

If there is not a Din-Grogu reunion, I will burn Jon Favreau's house to the ground. Put me on a watch list, I don't care.

Bo Katan already received the Darksaber once before from a voluntary supplicant (Sabine Wren). Not sure what her hesitation is now...... unless it's "maybe I should claim this prize in battle once to establish my bona fides."

Reviewed ROTJ, and Bib Fortuna is aboard Jabba's sail barge at the Saarlac pit, so not sure how he escapèd that carnage. The credits sort of semi-spoilered the post-credits scene, citing Matthew Wood as Bib Fortuna (he's been at Skywalker Sound since the 90s, starting as a 17-year old intern, so that's a fun cameo) like 2 minutes before the scene rolled. But it was great.

I'm glad they 'undid' Boba-as-a-Mando; his chain code read true cos he's a clone, so order is restored. Polly should've seen that in the moment, but oh well.

This season of Mando has really tapped into what resonated with me with Rogue One. Good guys doing bad things; if I'm cheering for TIEFighters, are they really the bad guys? Stuff like that. Gray. I've seen people note that Luke's wardrobe mirrors his Force journey: White, gray, black, then black with a gray flap, to ultimately a mix of those tones to show he's prevailed over the Dark Side. And so those people think it's weird he showed up in his ROTJ 'Dark Side' robes in this timeline..... I think it's cool, because it reverse foreshadows Luke's future fall that we already know about. It plays up the notion that he got too big for his britches, and allowed his students to succumb. I mean...... Grogu isn't in Ep VII, if you follow me.

As sad as the finale was, it was sort of inevitable. But I can't wait to see the reclamation of Mandalore.

.
Mando still has the ball from the ship in his pocket, that better just not be used in the future as a reminder to him.

Last night completely broke my head for star wars. Disney has successfully made each week feel like that feeling of a new star wars movie coming out every year, but it's every week. The production is so good for a tv show. This is a pretty high bar set for the future and they continue to nail it

That episode alone just goes into the rotation now after watching the original trilogy, right? I can't believe how emotional I still am from that. Dang.

2) Mando
3) Rebels
4) Clone Wars
5) Stand Alone Movies
6) Prequels
7) Sequels

With so much that happened, how cool was it seeing the tie fighters launch like that?
