“The Last Jedi” is a story about the Resistance; but it itself is a cinematic masterwork of the First Order.

It is not widely known, but the 'Life Day Ritual Group Shave' sequence was cut from the Star Wars Holiday Special for timing.

Loved it. Not the best star wars movie, but had some of the best star wars moments. I can see some people being turned off from some of the humor (which I loved). If it weren't for one of the weaker side storylines, I think this could have very well been up there with the best. Completely worthy chapter to the saga. Well done.

Rey's parents? Yeah they don't mean **** either. Plot points crushed

Superman Princess Leia

Poe and purple haired lady didn't hook up
Non gripes

My biggest issue was the code breaker adventure setup by maz kanta. I get why they had to do it story wise, I just didn't think it was strong story wise. Some of that casino place seemed prequely

BB8 was great.

Needed more chewie.

Felt like they didn't really know what to do with Finn.

Rey, Kylo, Luke, Leia and poe were excellent

Snoke ended up being a throw away character even though that may have been the best scene in the movie. I felt like Rian was cleaning house with some of these characters, which I think I'm fine with if it focuses more on the mains.

Everything came together in the end.

My favorite thing is reading about all these people complaining how bad the new movie is because it's not star wars. They are also the same people who complained how TFA was a copycat of ANH.

The more I think about it, the more I want to see it again. There is so much happening in this movie. This is how you pay homage to the original trilogy without making it feel like fan service. To be able to do that and move the story to new places with new characters is quite the feat. I don't think I've ever cared more for any of the characters as much as I did in this movie. Luke, Leia, Kylo, and Rey are so damn good in this movie.

For those of you that saw it, how do they handle Leia in the movie. Is Fisher's death going to screw anything up that you thought they were planning in Episode 9?

Spoilery for her role in this movie
very possible, you wouldn't have known she died in real life in this movie. They sort of faded her out, but she's still around at the end. I can't see there being a big death scene unless cgi is used.

Hard not to use spoilers for this question and give anything away, sorry. Short answer is I don't have any worries.
the more I think about it, the more I don't even think they need to kill her off. It's setup pretty good for her to retire in the sunset
I also had 3 or 4 good cries in this movie.
