Like tif said, you can’t really blame any of the actors. They worked with what Lucas gave them. And in these cases he gave them a **** script with **** dialogue and little to no direction except “faster and more intense.”

It's no surprise the only good performances from those movies were from established adults (Neeson, Jackson, Lee) who probably just had the good sense to ignore whatever the **** Lucas was telling them, if anything.

Imagine how giddy Ewan McGregor is over Kenobi. It's like he's been handed a SW mulligan.

I'm sure that will be entertaining. I just don't care to see more Boba Fett.

More Star Wars that isn't Skywalker stuff is A+ to me, even if it's a character from those.

It's been almost a decade since Disney bought Star Wars and we're still in the "hey remember this character?" phase.

Does Lucas have any say on the material produced? Like can he nix something that he doesn't like and that's why they keep circling back to characters that he created.

I don't know if any. @tifosi77 can give us the 411.

No he has no say at all. They may go to him out of respect on some things but he has no ownership.

He's like an emeritus professor. Favreau and (especially) Filoni respect his creative input, and will even defer to him on certain decisions.

There’s nothing stopping Disney from taking Star Wars in a direction that Lucas doesn’t agree with (see the sequel trilogy). He’s not the reason we’re still getting Boba Fett stories.

It’s weird. It was never cast and not only was it delayed, it was completely removed from the production schedule.
