Star Wars discussion (SPOILERS INCLUDED)
Isn’t there a list out there of the must watch episodes and everything else can be skipped as filler?
Star Wars discussion (SPOILERS INCLUDED)
There are a few lists out there. I think there is one for the must watches and also some chronological lists.

Here's the list I always use before I inevitably get bored and realize the cartoons aren't for me.

Star Wars discussion (SPOILERS INCLUDED)
Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissian return in this essential novel set between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.
The Empire is dead. Nearly two decades on from the Battle of Endor, the tattered remnants of Palpatine’s forces have fled to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. But for the heroes of the New Republic, danger and loss are ever-present companions, even in this newly forged era of peace.
Jedi Master Luke Skywalker is haunted by visions of the dark side, foretelling an ominous secret growing somewhere in the depths of space, on a dead world called Exegol. The disturbance in the Force is undeniable…and Luke’s worst fears are confirmed when his old friend, Lando Calrissian, comes to him with reports of a new Sith menace.
After his daughter was stolen from his arms, Lando searched the stars for any trace of his lost child. But every new rumor only led to dead ends and fading hopes–until he crossed paths with Ochi of Bestoon, a Sith assassin tasked with kidnapping a young girl.
Ochi’s true motives remain shrouded to Luke and Lando. For on a junkyard moon, a mysterious envoy of the Sith Eternal has bequeathed a sacred blade to the assassin, promising that it will give him answers to the questions that have haunted him since the Empire fell. In exchange, he must complete a final mission: return to Exegol with the key to the Sith’s glorious rebirth—the granddaughter of Darth Sidious himself, Rey.
As Ochi hunts Rey and her parents to the edge of the galaxy, Luke and Lando race into the mystery of the Sith’s lingering shadow and aid a young family running for their lives

Also I agree I don't want more Rey Palpatine stuff. I also won't read any of the books so this doesn't affect me. But their options are pretend it never happened, retcon it, or flesh it out so it actually makes sense. Lucasfilm is not going to admit they made a mistake so #3 it is.

Mando S3 started filing this week, just in time for the IATSE strike to shut it down.
There's a new book about the Force and Jedis and the Sith that explains only Force-sensitives in a dyad can use Force heal powers. Hmmm.
Grogu was the first character to show this ability........... he is the same age as Anakin Skywalker, who died at (more or less) the same time as Yoda......... and Grogu is now in the care of Luke (and presumably Leia), Anakin's offspring........ Ben Solo is around 5-6 years old in the timeline of Mando, and likely already training with Uncle Luke...... and while Rey - the other half of the only screen-known dyad to date - is still about 5 years away, Snoke is already a thing, and our little guy has already shown some disturbing tendencies..............

Unpopular opinion: Hayden took way too much flack for his role. I look forward to him in the Kenobi and Ahsoka series.

I’d say that’s a pretty popular opinion these days. It seems many have put the blame on the creator and not the actors for the most part. Jake Lloyd and Ahmed Best have also had a turnaround in the fans eyes. Natalie Portman, on the other hand, is still waiting for her redemption.Unpopular opinion: Hayden took way too much flack for his role. I look forward to him in the Kenobi and Ahsoka series.
Hayden could’ve been a great Anakin if Anakin (along with the rest of the script) was actually well written.

Is Portman hate really a thing asking SW fans? Was it ever?

I mean it’s not Rose level hate but it’s definitely there. I think it was pretty clear that Portman wanted out after ep 1 and some people seem to think she phoned it in on purpose in 2 & 3.
