Vader having someone cut off their own head would be awesome!
I posted this in the TV thread, but might as well start things off with it here:

It will be nice to sit my kids down this summer, start at Ep 1 and have them get better for the most part instead of having my child hood screwed over by Lucas. I think it's probably in best to worst ranking as 5, 4, 6, 3, 2, 1? Ep 7 looks to be better than anything in 1-3 and maybe better than Jedi if the trailers are just the tip of the iceberg.

I can't get YouTube embeds to work, but this is a great mock up about what if the prequels were good.

Little help for ya, since I was just about to post these since they are completely awesome and how I like to imagine the prequels in my head.

I thought this game was pretty good, and it came out of the prequels. Movies sucked.

I want a new X-Wing Alliance or something though.

Also, I rank the movies from best to worst as: 5,4,6,3,1,2. There's no doubt that TPM is a mess of a movie that suffers from being overly childish, but I consider AOTC to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Boring as hell. Absolutely stupid story. Downright horrific dialogue further hampered by one of the most wooden actors to ever grace the screen. The dialogue in AOTC seriously makes me wonder if George Lucas has ever had a conversation with another human being before. Somehow even more reliance on soundstages, green screens, and horrible CGI. Just a vomit inducing movie. I can sit through TPM. I might hate myself for doing so, but suicide is never considered while watching. The beginning of the Padme and Anakin "love scenes" in AOTC is my cue to pause the film and hide all pills and sharp objects in the house.

Please tell me that's real;
Boo, found the original. And here I thought the art department had a sense of humor.

Honestly, I will have no problem putting Ep VII at the top of the heap if it merits it. Lucas destroyed any goodwill and nostalgia I have towards the original trilogy.
the only saving grace of 1 is Darth Maul.
And even that sucked; you set up this awesome villain, give him precisely two fights, and then kill him off in a way that totally undercuts his badassedness.

If that is an actual Easter egg, then this one screen grab is better than everything in Eps 1-3 combined.

Oh, crap, I forgot about these videos. Yes, these are also awesome.

So we are all in agreement that pretty much the only good that came from the prequel trilogy were videos explaining how terrible the prequel trilogy was.

They also introduced me to Natalie Portman when I was like 12. I feel safe saying those are the only two good things from the PT.

My favorite clip from the RLM review of TPM is after the first screening of the movie and everyone realizes its an irredeemable turd, wondering what went wrong.

I would switch around 1 and 2. To me, there is much more wrong with 1, especially considering Lucas had years to get the story sorted and still delivered a space action movie based on commerce. :face:

But, really, putting the prequel trilogy in order of which one was worst is kind of like rearranging your turds in the bowl after a dump. It's all crap.

The above Youtube videos nails it. I loved the idea of giving Lars a back story, especially in light of some of the things he says in Episode IV, especially about being involved in the Clone Wars.

Which is a funny twist, because 'Leon' introduced me to Natalie Portman when she was 12.

Hobbit Trilogy, and that is only because it was dealing with existing source material.

I haven't seen any of the Hobbit movies because I didn't think the existing source material warranted the type of treatment it was given. But I would have to agree that if you take existing material and screw it up, that's a bigger offense than coming up with an idea on your own and executing it poorly.

The Hobbit could, and should, have been a single, mildly entertaining 2 1/2 hour movie.

Is This Our First Look at Sphero's Official The Force Awakens BB-8 Toy?
Image
There’s not a lot of information on the BB-8 toy just yet—it’s listed at $150 but we’ve no idea how close it will function to the movie prop—but the listing did mention an availability of September 1 later this year.

Not yet. I am impatiently waiting for it. Hopefully it comes out before Episode VII.
