Genuine, non-troll question -- is Lamont Wade good

He certainly has the physical ability, and had a hell of a freshman year. Sophmore year was very blah and I'm not sure he had his head on straght since then. This year he's been solid, but nothing crazy. I'll reserve judgement until I see him play against a ranked team.

I don't have much confidence in him. He has struck me as being slow to react from the safety position and nothing I've seen from the last 2 games has changed my mind about it. The best way to beat this team through the air is to work the middle of the field because the LBs can't cover and the safeties allow too much cushion. Any team with a decent tight end (looking at you, Iowa) will have a monster day unless things get tightened up in the middle.

Maryland does pose a bigger challenge this year than in the past two years because they actually have someone capable at QB. I'm hoping that a number of adjustments were made during the bye week and that things can be a bit smoother on the offensive side of the ball.

Say that the LBs can't cover in the middle and Jan Johnson picks one off on the first series of the game. Go figure.

Last week I was moaning about Clifford never keeping the ball in the RPO and the first play out of the blocks... boom, TD.

Good start. Still not sure Parsons should've been ejected. Looked more shoulder to shoulder.

163-6 the past 3 years. Total domination.

And we saw a great example of the amount of speed and athleticism on both sides of the ball tonite. That defense is FAST and exciting to watch. Men amongst boys tonite.

The BEST adjustments let me tell you! I'm annoyed because we could have watched this in our room but I didn't realize it until 11. This might be the best defense they've fielded in....well... A while.

Well that was unexpected. I thought Marylands speed and athleticism would give our D some fits, but all it did was showcase just how quick/fast our team speed is on defense. Good lord can our LBs close ground.

Still do not understand the Micah targeting ejection. Didn't look like he hit him in the head at all, and that's not exactly what I would consider launching. Late hit? Sure. Ejection worthy? Not even close.

So is Ricky Slade our worst RB? Not that he's bad, just seems the other guys are out playing him a bit.

I was returning home from an airshow yesterday, and this game was on Fox Sports radio on SXM with the UM broadcasters. PSU had just scored to go I think 35-0 in the first half or something like that, and the announcers were literally just laughing at how silly it was.
