He will once he wins a few more games. Pitt hoops was really bad, it's not an overnight fix. I have faith he's the one to fix it though

I am all in on 3 cupcakes + UWV every year. That would still be a pretty tough schedule one out of every three years when they have ND rotate through but they are killing themselves with the non-conf. This is one thing I have completely changed my mind on.

OOC schedule should be:

1 FCS, 1 Group of 5 team, WVU, and a rotation of PSU/ND/P5.

I don't think we see another Pitt-UPS game till the 2030s at the earliest.

FCS + G5 + G5 + UWV
FCS + G5 + ND + UWV every third year.

I don't want to see them play 2 P5 OOC games anymore.

if pitt was in the atlantic and the cuse was in the coastal, how much different would those two records look?

in other words, I don't hang my hat on that conference record at all.

Pitt also has the 2nd or 3rd best ACC record in the last five years iirc. So yes their record would look worse in the Atlantic, but so would the record of all the other Coastal teams that Pitt has a better record than.

We'd lose every year to Clemson instead of UNC.

I don't think it would be much different.

I'm down with this. I was all for scheduling up before, but this year put the nail in the coffin on that. Instead of celebrating a 10 win Coastal division season, everyone is stuck on the 7-7 record where we lost to undefeated UCF, Clemson, ND and a top 10 PSU. 3 of those being OOC.

The only "bad" loss was UNC.

Got to build up perception first. I've noticed unless you are a playoff team, people only look at the number of wins and losses without any context.

losing 138-30 to UCF UPS and Clemson isn't "bad"?

No, the game and score itself was bad. But you know what I mean by "bad" loss.

Losing to those teams shouldn't be considered a "bad" loss. Losing to a UNC that won 2 ACC games over the last 2 years, and both were Pitt is a bad loss.

I'm playing in an outing with Mark Stoops today. Should I hit him in the shin with a putter? Or 5 iron?
