So the ESPN Win Probability went from 99.1% Pitt in 3rd quarter to 95.1% Duke after scoring their last TD to 100% Pitt.

Never any doubt...

The defense is very good

THe offfense, despite the numbers, is not good. 33 points but they scored very few points on sustained drives. Long punt returns? Yes. Pick. 6? Yes. Lots of points off turnovers? Yes. But the offensive line stinks and the running game has no identity halfway through the season (note: injuriies are not an excuse at RB, they are all stinky).

This is dangerous I know. but Pitt may be a small dog again @ Cuse and then.. could Pitt be favored in every game on in if they pull that off?

Sure. They could even be *ranked* if they beat the cuse.

All in all that game was a much needed win (if the super panthers plan on winning 8). However I do not think that win provides any evidence that this team is going to be able to improve on the problems that is has faced in the first half of the season. The offense doesn’t score enough points. The special teams are below the line (bad punts everywhere). The run game ranges from non existant to 40 degree day. They are still prone to taking really bad personal foul penalties. They need to find away to resopnd to adversity a little bit better. The defense is a ton of fun to watch.

But if they can figure out a way to muster up 4 wins against the cuse, the u, GT, VT, BC, and UNC, then it will be a good season.

Cuse does not look good tonight. Pitt should beat them if they're any good. Their line sucks and Pitt's d-line should have a day. I say should because well you never know in Pitt football land

They have averaged 12 ppg in three games against power five teams (Maryland, Clemson, and NC State). This should bode well for pitt. I say should because this game will probably end up being 72-60 again.

Syracuse was the most overrated team coming into the season. Dungy was what ran that team to success. He is gone.

That said, we are Pitt, and we don't like to win the "easy" and winnable games. So who knows what will happen. But from day 1 this season, I knew Cuse was going to be a 6-6 team.
