The good thing is UVA isn't ranked. If Pitt wins out they should be either in the ACCCG (if VT beats UVA) or the Orange Bowl (if UVA beats VT and takes an L to Clemson).
Assume a 25-30 pt loss for UVA similar to Pitt's last year. UVA is now 9-4 and Pitt is 9-3 assuming they take care of business. I dont think the committee puts Pitt ahead of UVA where UVA has the head to head win and won the division and Pitt didn't. If this were the old days of just the polls, maybe, but I'd bet against Pitt making the Orange Bowl under these circumstances. I think they need UVA to lose by 40 plus and just get massacred.
Let's play the hypothetical game that Pitt and UVA win out pre-ACCCG:

Pitt is ranked after beating VT this week. UVA isn't after beating Liberty.
Pitt is still ranked after beating BC, UVA maybe jumps in but beating a 4 loss VT team isn't really earth shattering at that point. So we're probably still above UVA.
UVA gets trounced, or even loses by 20 - they aren't going to jump Pitt unless they really hang close imo

**** VATECH
I've been thinking. Who do you guys consider our "rival" in the ACC. Cuse, Miami, VT? I've been leaning toward VT lately. Not that it's too hateful but there have been a lot of good games and history back to the BE
Vtech
The U
Cuse

in that order for football.

Cuse
ND
Lville

in that order for BB.
A good answer. I miss BE hoops too @Dickie Dunn. The best

Wow. Questioning my integrity while also forgetting that I too took the under on Narduzzi firing demands, so maybe they're already being artificially suppressed.

I'd go to ACCCG, Nashville, and maybe Pinstripe

Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi and his staff added a coveted specialist to their 2020 recruiting class on Wednesday night, as Cameron Guess, a kicker and punter out of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, announced his commitment to the program.

Guess was once ranked by Kohl’s Kicking Camps as the No. 1 kicker in the country, but he no longer holds that distinction, as he has fallen to No. 51. With that said, he is a consensus top-10 punter, as Kohl’s ranks him ninth in the nation at that position, and 247Sports places him at seventh. During his recruitment, he drew offers from Kent State, Toledo and West Virginia in addition to Pitt.

very uncertain about the outcome of this game. 100% chance of rain at 3:00 tomorrow. does this favor the super panthers? probably not.

Yes and no. Bad conditions make me think they'll let up very little. Can they score twice?

VT's offense has been good since they unfortunately benched Willis and went with Hendon Hooker (and Patterson, sometimes) at QB. Bostick said this morning on The Fan that Hooker is probably the most dynamic QB they've faced all year. That said, I'm not sure VT has faced a defense that's quite at Pitt's level, especially given that Pitt has a good amount of tape on them. Against any other Pitt defense, I'd be more nervous but I think they'll do a decent job containing their QBs. If Pitt can get a defensive and/or special teams TD, I think that would be huge because...

Pitt's biggest issue tomorrow will be what it's been all year - can the offense can do enough? I honestly liked what I saw from them in the UNC game as an entire unit. I don't know if Ffrench's absence forced Pickett to start to use other options or if some other receivers just finally stepped up. Apparently, Ffrench is going to be a game-time decision to play. If the weather negates the passing attack, then please just find ways to use every healthy RB.

I'll take a win of any kind but I honestly would love to see a repeat of last year's Pitt-VT score. I don't put much stock in the non-playoff polls but I'm tired of hearing seeing programs like VT get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to rankings because they happen to have 20+ years of recent history on their side.

Pitt's offense will either be running Bad Davis into the pile for four quarters or Whipple deciding to air it out in the rain. There will be no in-between.

I always get a Big Double Burger with fries and chili sides and a coke.

I've never had a bad milkshake from there, but I usually get a Reese Cup one.
