Okay I said less than 9 wins next year and Duzz has to go. I'll also add that if he loses to EMU in the Quick Lane Bowl he should be left in Detroit

Paris Ford will be a junior next season, but is eligible to enter the 2020 NFL Draft if he chooses to declare and that’s something that he will consider.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that Ford has submitted paperwork to the NFL in order to get a graded evaluation and is expected to get those results in the next two weeks. Those evaluation requests are commonplace for juniors, and Pitt typically submits multiple requests per year for underclassmen. They are less common for draft-eligible sophomores like Ford.

That evaluation could end up being very important for Pitt. PSN has been told that told that if Ford is given a first- or second-round grade, he would then choose to leave for the NFL. If he gets a third-round grade, Ford would consider leaving, but anything beyond that would prompt a return to Pitt.

The post gazette recently interviewed a dude from Scout, Inc. regarding Jones, Twyman and Ford. His general statement was that they are all NFL caliber talents but would benefit from another year. Said the obvious about ford....hits hard, takes too many risks, not enough tape.

Women’s vb team loses in the round of 32 as the 6th overall seed (so the equivalent of 2 seed losing in the first weekend of the hoops tourney)

Same pitt, different sport
This was disappointing after a great season. We've been going to some matches each year with the family and it is fun as hell. This year went to 4. Wasn't expecting a national championship, but damn I was thinking we'd at least make it to next weekend.

- Patrick Jones has also submitted paperwork to discover his NFL Draft grade.

- Pitt has told Kwantel Raines thanks but no thanks.

Sucks that coleman is leaving because pitt needs all the depth it can get but hey, if the dude wants playing time, so be it.

The Raines situation is awkward and I don't like trusting Narduzzi but I guess he knows the situation best.

If Coleman is leaving and they don't want Raines I feel like they have enough talent to survive

Raines had trouble getting on the field for a 5-7 WVU squad, so I'm sure there's some truth to the rumors questioning his abilities as a D1 player.

As far as Coleman, Jackson graduating would seemingly open a spot for Coleman at CB, but I'm sure the starting CBs next year end up being Mathis and Pinnock, once he was healthy Williams got more playing time than Coleman, Judson Tallinder will be back from injury next season, and they're obviously very high on AJ Woods. At Hamlin's future vacant spot they already preferred Hallett to the point of moving Coleman to CB and Brandon Hill redshirted, but there's definitely some depth concern given the graduation of their starting FS and backup SS. Maybe the great John Petrishen finds himself in the mix. If Ford leaves they're ****.

Honestly, it's probably a bit of a shortsighted move on Coleman's part because there's definitely playing time available in the secondary next season, but he's a City League kid set to graduate from his hometown school and looking for meaningful playing time before real life starts, so I can't fault him too much.

Other things I just saw: Damar Hamlin is going to play in the East/West Shrine Bowl and former Pitt great Mychale Salahuddin appears to be headed to James Madison.

Pitt will win their bowl game. They'd only lose if we expected them to win. They already Pitt'd the season

Narduzzi is definitely going all-in with AD Lyke.

https://www.cardiachill.com/2019/12/11/ ... -bowl-2019
”We’ve reached an ACC championship,” Narduzzi said. “Our goal is not just to get there. Our goal is to get there and win the thing. And in the next couple of years, we’re going to win one. I can guarantee you that.”

You know, the funny thing is, deep down, over the past two years there has been progress. But ill be damned if I know anyone (other than my dad, who is afraid that if they fire, he is afraid will die before pitt has a chance to rebuild) that is happy with how the past two years went.
