For what it's worth, Peak posted a rundown of some thoughts on the board about the S&C situation. In summary...

1. Andrews had connections to Iowa State's director of player personnel (Andrews was his associate when they were at Univ. of Illinois). Campbell may have reached out to Andrews on this guy's recommendation.

2. $$$. Peak didn't cite specifics but said Iowa State offered Andrews a ton of money. Pitt made a competitive offer to keep him but Iowa State exceeded the amount Pitt was willing to max out for the position.

3. Regarding staff, said it was pretty much understood that the rest of the staff would go with Andrews. Also said the new S&C coach would likely bring in his own staff.

4. New S&C coach should be hired soon. Said there's a very good chance the coach will come from the NFL ranks.

For real, though, if the new hire isn't George Aston or doesn't at least include him as part of the staff, what the hell are we even doing?

Also, yo, Pitt is supposedly hosting a number of 2021 recruits tomorrow for the UNC game, and 4-star DT Elliot Donald is among them. Lots of really strong rumors going around that Donald will commit. There has been talk for a while now that he committed several weeks ago but asked coaches not to say anything.

If that's the case, Narduzzi's off to an absolutely terrific start with the 2021 class.
