Tried to give it away but Murphy came up with the big bucket. They're not quite there but you can see the progress. I'll take 4-4 in the conference with having played Louisville twice already. This was a big year to just show some progress to keep the recruiting momentum going.. Slowly but surely the Oakland Zoo is coming back imo

Fun game to watch. This team is still rough around the edges and short on depth. But pitt hoops is relevant again and a lot of fun to watch. Capel is the man.

Yea, I never saw 18 to 20 wins as a legit possibility this season (let's be real with this team they could lose every game remaining), so despite the lack of style points Capel has done a hell of a job this season. Biggest problem this team has is that you don't know what you're going to get from any player on a given night. That individual volatility is what gives you **** shows like the Miami loss and last night's almost disaster.

Next year's recruiting class will be a big help, especially Hughley who will probably come in and start immediately, but they desperately need to add some kind of calming influence at PG. Johnson and McGowens are both too volatile, can be extremely selfish at times, and both would probably benefit from playing the 2 or 3 spot. Ithiel Horton, who is sitting out this year due to randomly applied transfer rules, is another slasher but can shoot better from outside than Johnson and especially McGowens. Even if it was a grad transfer just playing out one more year, I'd like to get someone in the program who can step in at PG when Johnson or McGowens are going off the rails.
