I saw speculation that it was Donald or that Donald has already committed and doesn’t want it public yet. I’d love for him to come here, but can’t blame the kid if he goes somewhere else, which is what I expect him to do. There’s been a lot of grass isn’t always greener scenarios with local kids over the past couple years (Foster, Jeter, Jurkovec, Raines, etc), but Donald has an impossible name and recent legacy to try to live up to and it might be easier for him to try to succeed outside of that spotlight.

He’s publicly stated that LSU is his dream school, which is exactly what someone who has never been to Louisiana says. I think if he was dead-set on Pitt he would have committed already and while nothing has publicly been stated, I think the prospect of going to work everyday in a weight room that has your future Hall of Famer uncle’s name above the door is enough to give someone second thoughts. He plays the same position so he’ll always be getting compared to who is probably the best defensive player in school history.

McIntyre had offers from UPS, Michigan State, Iowa State, VT, Tennessee, BC, Maryland, WVU, Temple, and Rutgers.

McIntyre could be a really nice pickup for Pitt. His high school - Imhotep Charter - has been a powerhouse in Eastern PA at the AAA/4A level over the last five or six years. They had a number of kids from the 2021-23 classes in this past weekend, and a few of their underclassmen are already on national recruiting radars, so any inroads they can make to get pipelines to programs like this are steps in the right direction.

I'm missing the boat obviously, but can someone explain to me the Pitt 2L1TT slogan? I take it the 21 is reference to 2021 freshman class but I'm not following the 2L1TT part.
