Good rundown on the current roster and the situation with scholarships

https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/Pit ... 2001090109
I was not aware they were trying to get a fifth year of eligibility for Tipton as well. That should be a lock.

2015: 4 games before injury and medical redshirt
2016: 9 games before season ending injury
2017: Missed entire season due to offseason injury
2018: Played in all 14 games (stunned by this, dude had 5 catches in 14 games?)
2019: 3 games before season ending injury

Four of five seasons ended early due to injury and his 2015 medical redshirt would be a normal redshirt under the current rules.

I was also not aware that Chase Brown apparently left the program at some point. What a bust of a JUCO pickup he was.

QB: The battle for Pickett's backup should be interesting.
RB: Diarrhea
WR: Would not surprise me if DBJ or Michael Smith transferred.
TE: Vomit
OL: Whatever

DL: 20 **** defensive lineman? Someone isn't going to be happy with their playing time.
LB: I just want to see a really good Pitt LB at the school for more than one season again in my lifetime.
DB: These positions need depth to step up and as stated in the article could be very young and raw after 2020. Which of course is the perfect excuse for Narduzzi when the team goes 5-7 in 2021.
SP: Christodoulou sucks.

I don’t know what he was getting paid at Pitt, but Jim
Hammett reported that ISU is giving him north of $500K.

If this is true, it puts him into the top 10 salaries of S&C coaches, at least among the schools that report it. Another theory being kicked around is that Andrews recognized that Campbell is probably just one more really good season in Ames away from landing a big-time P5 job and he'd take Andrews with him if he moves on.

It's a big deal from the standpoint that the S&C coach probably spends more time with the players than any other coach and that the players really seemed to love Andrews. That said, I couldn't name one other S&C coach from another program without looking it up so I assume the next hire should be fine.

Nothing confirmed yet and it could change, but there are tons of rumors going around PL that Damar Hamlin was granted a fifth year of eligibility and will be back.

Pitt announcing Victory Heights a 1pm tomorrow. Supposed to be the project that brings a new multipurpose facility to house volleyball, wrestling, and gymnastics, a track and field facility, along with other student facilities and athletic upgrades. Going to be around $300M.

Pretty good stuff.

If I had $300MM I would simply build an on-campus football stadium.

The super sleuths over at PL have noticed that Hamlin was previously listed on the East roster for the Shrine Game as late as yesterday and is now no longer listed.
