I think it's best for the rest of us if you leave the franchise, too.

It was bad.
I mean, it's not the Godfather, but it was mindless entertainment with two charismatic leads. And Ana De Armas kicking ass.
Agreed. ;)

Again, I feel like that's fairly straightforward and don't see what the issue is.
I believe this would be called whatever the home cinema version of a PEBKAC error would be.

to me the barometer is what someone thinks of Running Man. it’s the most 80s action movie of 80s action movies (Commando is up there too but I grew up watching Running Man and have only seen Commando once)
Running Man certainly seems more embedded in 80s culture.
They have to go subversive one of these times and let the Predators win
Funnily enough, I was just thinking, instead of a Prey sequel (which feels almost inevitable at this point, and sure I'll probably show up), I'd love to see, say, an 6-episode limited series, hour-long episodes, with each episode it's own self-contained story. All you'd do is put the Predator in different locations/scenarios/time-periods, kind of like they did with Prey. Each time the characters facing off against Predator are limited to their own unique resources and methods (again, kind of like they did with Prey) for fighting. So you're getting unique action every time you tune in. But with self-contained mini-stories, there's more freedom to sometimes let the characters win, and sometimes let the Predator win. Hell, even do one from the Predator's perspective where it's him vs. dinosaurs or some **** in prehistoric times so he's severely outmatched. I'm there.

I had a similar thought. Predator vs Samurai would be cool

saw someone else suggest a WW1 theme with the Predator reeking havoc in the trenches and the French and Germans have to team up

I can’t believe this came out 19 years ago. I remember being super impressed at the time.

ohhh I got a good one. We’re on the Predator home world and humanity develops a super soldier and sends them to eradicate the predators. Predators eventually turn sympathetic as they were honorable to some degree (didn’t attack those who weren’t a threat in theory) and the humans turn heel by being merciless. Can get into some deep human condition themes particularly about our relationship with nature (in that we use and abuse it)

Danny Glover:
I have two films I’ve done that I feel that I was bigger than life in, in which I felt that I could control the space. Silverado for me, and Predator 2. In Predator 2, it was like ‘who’s the baddest cat in your space, and the baddest cat says ‘I’m gonna challenge you.’ Mano y mano. I was the baddest guy in his space. What happens? I kill him, and then the others come around, and I’m like ‘alright…. who’s next?’ I was about 42, 43.. in the best shape in my life, best shape I’ve been in. I was running on the beach, had my training, I was lifting weights a lot more than I am now. I was really feeling it in that movie.

Redbox, the struggling DVD-rental kiosk operator and video streamer, is now part of Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment — the streaming aggregator that gets its name from the best-selling series of self-help books.

Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment announced Thursday that it has completed the acquisition of Redbox Entertainment in an all-stock transaction valued at about $370 million, after announcing the purchase agreement in May.
