I didn’t like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. And that pains me to write as a fan of Tarantino.

He’s the best. His standup, specifically the “What’s new pussycat”, makes me cry of laughter everytimeThe John mulaney lunch bunch kids or whatever the new special thing is called is tremendous. So weird, sweet and funny.
I can't believe all the memories that rushed back watching this one, that's exactly how I remember those shows. He really did something amazing, it was almost like his stand up routine in musical skit form. Jake Gyllenhaal was unreal. He’s the best. "Great moments are born from great opportunity........ bahahahahahahhahahahahaha!"
Interesting. I'll probably try it then. The Peanut Butter Falcon was great, one of those movies that just sort of makes you hold a smile for most of the film.
Subjected myself to midsommar, I have difficulty understanding the draw of movies like this.
He crushed that bit. Really made me want to see him do more comedic roles. Just so good.I can't believe all the memories that rushed back watching this one, that's exactly how I remember those shows. Yeah it's kinda just "there." Pitt was a lot of fun though.I didn’t like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. And that pains me to write as a fan of Tarantino.
Performances were all great. I just wish they had a story to tell. Once the film finally gets to the climax, it feels like a complete retread for QT.Yeah it's kinda just "there." Have you seen previews for Emma yet? Also, thought "Little Women" was quite delightful.
Hahaha . Yes indeed. Dunno if I'll be catching that one though. LW I got to be all artsy and see it on 35mm when I was in nyc recently, which was the main draw in not waiting 'til video.Have you seen previews for Emma yet? Also, thought "Little Women" was quite delightful.
So sassy.
Knives Out was well done. Good old fashioned murder mystery.
This brightened up my day, thanks. He seems like a certified good dude.
Watched this on a flight today mostly because I love Phillip Seymour Hoffman. I thought the acting was unreal. Phoenix and Hoffman were great...outstanding. What was weird is that I felt like they were acting great in two different movies on the same screen. Outside of the "processing" part and the odd ending song that Hoffman sings Phoenix to tears, I actually don't feel that strong of a connection between the two. Independently, probably Oscar worthy performances...I was fascinated by The Master. I thought Joaquin Phoenix was incredible and it was an absolutely beautifully shot movie. Inherent Vice was great goofy fun that actually made the pages of the novel come to life and that in itself is quite the achievement. Going back and looking at everything PTA did, I still think Hard Eight is my favorite.the master wasn't great, and i started watching inherent vice but after 5 minutes, i asked myself, "why?" and turned it off
was a big PTA guy for a long time. i have doubts that he still has it. maya rudolph ruins everything, i guess
