I really enjoyed Rocketman,, Taron Egerton was amazing.
Watched this last night and it was great. Maybe my favorite movie of the year, I loved how they did it, but holy **** is it incredibly sad. My kids got the biggest hug in the world this morning when they woke up. The entire time I kept thinking, this guy has so many amazing songs, but he was in such a bad place during all of them. It really changes the way I hear them. I just wanted him to come out at the end and tell everyone watching the movie that he's OK now, come see me play! ( I guess he sort of did too). Very interesting movie.

That looks terrible.

Not just the acting and what appears to be the way they're telling the story. Like.... it's tough on the eyes to look at it.

The look reminds me of that terrible Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow movie that Angelina Jolie was in. Live action characters in completely half-assed CGI, except that movie did it on purpose and compensated with a washed out grey color palate. This looks like it goes in the opposite direction and is unnaturally bright and colorful. It makes my eyes hurt.

Man I wanted so badly to like that movie. The trailer was bad ass. I was so confused in the theater when it turned out to be ****. And boring. How the hell did they make that boring?

The New ‘Mortal Kombat’ Movie Has Begun Production
Mortal Kombat screenwriter Greg Russo has posted an image of the set to his Twitter account celebrating the start of production, presumably at Adelaide Studios in South Australia where the main leg of production will be taking place.

Here is what the cast looks like.

Ludi Lin as Liu Kang.
Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion.
Chin Han as Shang Tsung.
Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade.
Josh Lawson as Kano.
Lewis Tan possibly playing new character Cole Turner.
Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero.
Tadanobu Asano as Raiden.
Mehcad Brooks as Jax.
Sisi Stringer as Melina.

Mortal Kombat is produced by Aquaman’s James Wan and is expected to be Hard-R as it will finally give us the signature violent fatalities from the games.

Warner Bros. will be distributing the film and has given it a release date of March 5th, 2021.

Hopefully it’s like the YouTube iterations from a couple years ago

That does look good. The only odd part was that I heard a Boston and NY accent on multiple cops in a movie based in Philly.

No, I literally started it and go to the end of the logos and quit.

I'm going to watch it on the TV tonight; seems like something that deserves more than my work computer.
