White Men Can’t Jump, and it’s not even close, IMO.

WMCJ is about not giving water to someone when they tell you they're thirsty.

Hockey - Miracle, Slapshot as runner-up
Baseball - Major League, The Sandlot
Basketball -Hoosiers, White Men Can't Jump, He Got Game, Blue Chips, Glory Road
Football - The Replacements, Remember the Titans
Golf - Caddyshack, Tin Cup, Happy Gilmore
Boxing - Rocky, Creed, Rocky Balboa, Rocky III, Rocky IV, Rocky II, Creed II, Rocky V

My plan was to limit each category to two movies but I was legitimately surprised by how many basketball movies I like.

Hockey - Miracle
Baseball - 42
Football - The Replacements
Basketball - There is no good basketball movie. There is a basketball scene in The Expendables, does that count? Alien 4, Blade Trinity? I literally can not think of a good movie that even has a basketball in it.
Golf - Caddyshack
Soccer - Mean Machine

Golf is definitely Tin Cup for me, if only because I love how connected it is with the real PGA Tour.

No love for Unnecessary Roughness, Friday Night Lights, or Any Given Sunday. Weird. Was happy to see someone go with the original of The Longest Yard.

I was going to use baseketball as a combo pick since I hate both sports.

Fine, the show is better, overacted Oliver Stone trash.

Hockey - Slap Shot (All you Miracle nerds need to unplug your heads: The movie is great because it gets you in that locker room for that speech, and the portrayal of other iconic moments (the unending Herbies after the Norway game is my favorite), but nothing will ever come close to achieving the greatness of Slap Shot)

Football - OG The Longest Yard (hon mention to the final act of MASH)

Baseball - A League Of Their Own

Basketball - Are dodint and I the only people ITT who have seen Hosiers?

Motor racing - Grand Prix (hon mention to Rush)

Golf - Tin Cup

Soccer - Victory

Martial arts - Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

If you take the Hanson brothers out of Slap Shot that movie flat out sucks.

As time goes on ITT it is becoming increasingly clear that Jim possesses little to no understanding of how movies - and, more importantly, the audience's enjoyment of them - actually work.

The problem is that they aren't actually in it very much. Maybe 3 scenes of note. They are the C-plot at very best. So yeah, when the other 90+% of the movie sucks... then the movie is not good.

Yeah, wanting entertainment value is just too much to ask.
