Wasn't there a sequel with Wesley Snipes?
U.S. Marshals.
Which was a pretty decent movie in its own right. The genius of The Fugitive is that it makes the good guy the bad guy, and the bad guy the good guy. That works when the good guy is Harrison Ford. When the good guy is Wesley Snipes, you kind of find yourself rooting for the bad guy. Even when the bad guy turns out to be Tony Stark.
I didn't mind Snipes in that role. I also agree that it was quite enjoyable in its own right.

Was just doing some quick fact checking on something about Snipes and learned his NYC apartment was destroyed by the collapse of the WTC on 9/11.

I enjoyed Game Night. Laughed a good bit, nice to see Coach Taylor and Landry Clarke together again. Fun date night movie.

Now I have reason to watch. Did he call him Lance?

I feel like they blew any FNL opportunities. At one point, we thought Tami Taylor was part of this too, but then soon realized it was Sharon Horgan from Catastrophe. I will say I've been thinking a lot about rewatching FNL after watching the movie.

Did anyone see "Summer of '84" yet? I noticed it's playing in Pittsburgh. I'll have to wait until it hits streaming.

Watched infinity war last night. That is such an awesome summer blockbuster. Watching it at home, really makes me appreciate seeing it in the theater, that action was awesome on the huge screen (still looked boss in HDR at home though)

Idris Elba has to be the next Bond. I will accept nobody else in that role.

That would be cool, he may be too old though. What about Chiwetel Ejiofor?

I love Elba, and he definitely has the swag. But he's the same Moore was when he took on the role, and I do not say that as a good thing.

Oh tif. What DD said.

Eddy - Nah, it’s gotta be Elba. He’s got the swagger required by the role.

My comment isn't that he can't pull of being James Bond; he totally could...... five years ago, at least from the franchise's perspective. It's more an observation that starting out at 45 means he's going to be Bond for no more than one or two movies at best.

Bond 25 isn't coming out for another year yet, and 26 probably won't start development for a year or more after that, and then won't go into production for 8-12 months after that. So we're not talking about 45-year old Idris Elba playing James Bond, we're talking about 48-year old Idris Elba. If they do four movies with him, at their current rate of production, he'd be the oldest Bond when they make the third movie, and will be 61 when they start the fourth movie.

He could totally pull it off, no question. But it is manifestly not the best direction for the franchise.

I hope Bond 26 opens up with Bond working undercover as a paper company executive named Charles Miner.

I agree with tif regarding the age issue, although the "black doesn't crack" argument is there as well.

Sylvester Stallone Teases the Return of ‘Rambo’
Image

But all the while, rumors have swirled around “Rambo V,” with reports of attempts to put the film in production repeatedly failing. The most recent development attempt was announced at the Cannes Film Festival this past May, with the rumored plot moving Rambo out of Southeast Asia and into the drug cartel-filled U.S.-Mexico border, a location that has been the setting for films like “Sicario” and its recent sequel, “Day of the Soldado.”
This has to happen.
