Saw it on Saturday. It’s fantastic and while I don’t agree with the “irrelevant” status following 1b, I do agree with the top three. Chris Hemsworth is better at comedy than he is at action and the rest of the cast is pretty awesome as well.

Somehow Thor 3 was the first marvel movie I've seen in the theater. That's strange too. Long live Taika (who also had a hand in writing Moana)

I'd put that and ant man on there. I suppose spiderman homecoming would be below Thor and guardians.

Winter soldier is better than both GOTG movies.

I found her more attractive as a goddess of death than I typically do.

It’s been a while since I’ve contemplated my MCU rankings, but GOTG 1 and 2, Thor 3, The Winter Solider, Iron Man, The Avengers, and Ant-Man are the standouts for me.

Watched Valerian and the city of 1000 planets. It's visually stunning, but you really don't get to the plot until about 15 minutes left. It was a fun ride, just not a great movie. There were some really cool ideas. Rianna is not a good actress (nobody in the movie really is). The main male lead sounds like Keanu. I'll gladly watch more of these adventures.

I enjoyed Justice League. I loved the short running time (just under two hours) and there are two post-credit scenes: one mid credit fun scene, and another at the end that sets up another film - just like MCU films.
Green Lantern was in a flashback scene, which was really cool. Forgot about the Green Latern Corps movie that’s supposed to come out in 2020. My son said he saw Shazam! as well, but I’m not sure.

Deathstroke looks badass. I hope Green Arrow gets a movie at some point.

While funny, that's actually pretty irresponsible movie-ing by Anderson.

What would you do?

I probably would've laughed and just made the take useless. To be clear, the reason it was irresponsible was not because the dialog was offensive. It was because not disclosing the context of the scene cost them a day of shooting.

Boogie Nights is one of the best movies of the 90s, for sure. Has one of the great flubbed lines of dialog in movie history imo.

Better than GOTG 2 for sure. It's close between that and GOTG 1.

The Florida Project was good. Kinda sneaks up on ya.

Ragnarok was pretty darn good. I can't say it's top 3, but it's up there.

So I watched that Documentary about the Andy Kauffman and Jim Carrey behind the scenes thing. I thought it was great, I also came away feeling like Jim Carey is/was a mentally troubled person who's admitting it pretty openly.

I didn’t watch it yet, but this has been apparent for some time now. He’s one of those guys that if I read about him committing suicide tomorrow I wouldn’t be shocked. Not that I want that, it just wouldn’t surprise me.

Yea it appeared to be pretty evident that something isn't right especially after he's done filming the movie. Couple that with the suicide of his gf/wife - I would only imagine that would impact that situation greatly.

I started watching that but stopped a few minutes in because I was too distracted and wanted to give it my full attention. Glad it sounds like a quality documentary.

Went to see Coco last night. Just an utterly fantastic movie. The treatment and respect toward the subject matter and culture was outstanding, the story was great with excellent performances, but where this movie shines above everything else is that it is easily the most beautiful movie Pixar has made. The animation and the world created in this movie is bright, vibrant, and immense, and was further buoyed by us having to see it in 3D, which I typically can't stand. Easily one of my favorite Pixar movies.
