The Lobster and the Panama Papers were both enjoyable movies and on Netflix
The Lobster was something. I still don't know if I liked it or not, but I still think about it. It was announced today that he is going to try and make Richard Brautigan's novel Hawkline Monster. I've never heard of it, but after reading the synopsis, I picked it up at the library during lunch and it sounds like this guy is the right man for the job.
It's one-half of an interesting movie and one-half of a nothing movie.

To all the college boys who insisted that we watch Fight Club: This one is probably not for you. Bella Thorne has joined Chick Fight, a new film about an all-woman fight club, and she’s about to give Brad Pitt’s Tyler Durden a run for his money.

They're going to show a chick with a schlong at the end of the movie?

The original script from Joseph Downey centers on Anna (Akerman), who still hasn’t reconciled with the recent death of her adored mother. She’s also just discovered her loving and supportive father is gay (which she totally supports, but the deception cuts deep). And she accidentally burns down her uninsured coffee shop. Knowing Anna needs to be abruptly shaken and stirred from her deep funk, her best friend Charleen takes Anna to an all-women underground fight club, where Anna slowly rediscovers herself, her inner strength and true purpose.
Yeah that sounds great.

I'm real over Tom Cruise films thinking Tom Cruise doing Tom Cruise stunts is going to make me more excited for Tom Cruise films.

It's Cruise's personal P-51 used in the filming: https://fighterjetsworld.com/air/tom-cr ... aft/15124/

Jerry Bruckheimer is a national treasure. I unabashedly love just about everything he's ever done.

Cruise was given the callsign "Two Bags" by the F-14 guys on the first movie.

James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ Sequels Are Now ‘Right on Schedule,’ Fourth Film Already Being Shot

“From 2013 until now we’ve mostly designed the whole world across four new movies. We’ve written, finished scripts for all four of those films. We’ve cast them, and we’ve [performance] captured movie 2, movie 3, and the first part of movie 4. We’re mostly done with the live action. I’ve got a couple months in New Zealand in the spring, so we’re kind of on track with what we set out to do.”

Cameron added, “People don’t really understand the scope and complexity of the process. It’s like making two and a half big animated films. A typical big animated film takes about four years, so, if you do the math on that, we’re kind of right on schedule for December 2021.”

He used to rent ice time at the rink the hour before my beer league team played on Sundays. I tried to always park next to his Mercedes SLR, it was not uncommon to see Tim Robbins and Cuba Gooding Jr and ex-NHLers skating in that group.

My wife and I are going on a dinner/movie date while my in-laws are in town next week. We were originally going to see the new Star Wars movie, but after reading the reviews and my previous disappointment with TLJ, I'm thinking we will see 1917 instead. I just wish it wasn't opening after Star Wars because I would love to see it in IMAX.
