That looks like a dwarf lionfish to me, which you won't find in the Atlantic.They have lionfish off the coast of North Carolina.

Just another in the long line of Disney live-action films with factual challenges. The first wildlife documentary TWDC ever did was called "Seal Island", featuring animals called fur seals which are more actual sea lions.
