same (though I haven't seen Ford vs Ferrari yet). It's kinda weird seeing the Oscar go to a great movie for a change!Well deserved for Parasite. My favorite of the bunch was Jojo but Parasite was a close second.

Ford v Ferrari was really good. Definitely an interesting story and I enjoyed the performances a lot. It wasn't a best picture, though. I put it slightly above Joker.same (though I haven't seen Ford vs Ferrari yet). It's kinda weird seeing the Oscar go to a great movie for a change!Well deserved for Parasite. I believe this is up for family movie night this weekend. I thought it looked great. I still think Under the Silver Lake was my favorite movie of 2019.Source of the post Ford v Ferrari was really good.

I watched a documentary on Netflix about the Shelby era. Very interesting.
Also watched Creed this weekend, way better than I thought it'd be.

It's a good family flick, although depending on your kids ages, they might get bored during the more talkie parts.I believe this is up for family movie night this weekend. I thought it looked great. I don't think the awful trailers or DC's track record helped BOP. It seems like those who have seen the movie do actually think it's pretty good.

I thought it looked fun, but I'm perfectly fine waiting to rent it

Margot Robbie was the guest for the first episode of the new season of Hot Ones. I'm happy to enjoy her promoting movies even if I have no interest in ever committing two hours of my life to watching them.

The marketing was absolutely terrible. It looks like a direct sequel to a really terrible movie that nobody liked. Why would anybody go see that? And when you're looking at a marquee, nobody knows what "Birds of Prey" is. It sounds like a Disney nature doc.Birds of Prey is apparently good.‘Birds of Prey’ opens to #1 with terrible $33.3M, the lowest opening ever for a DCEU film
They are renaming it "Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey" but it's probably too little too late now.

Oscars Lose 6 Million Viewers From Last Year, Set New All-Time Lows in Ratings
https://www.thewrap.com/oscars-all-time ... e-viewers/
I have an idea that would boost (or at least maintain) viewership: ditch all of the musical acts, only televise Best Picture, Lead Actor/Actress, Supporting Actor/Actress, Original/Adapted Screenplay, Foreign Film, Feature Documentary, and Animated Feature. Make the show an hour or an hour and a half. All of the other awards could be presented prior to the show going live on the networks. Hell, televise it on E! or something.
Oh, and as much as film folks loved Parasite (myself included) the general public never heard of it and wouldn't go see a movie with subtitles. On top of that, when acceptance speeches become lectures, it turns everybody off. I am liberal so I tend to agree with their points, but I don't want to be preached at either.

Nothing can be done to save any of these awards shows because nobody gives a **** about them. The only reason I cared about the Golden Globes is because of Ricky Gervais, and I still didn't tune in - I watched the monologue and clips the next morning on YouTube. I suspect most viewers are like that now or at least headed in that direction.

If it were an hour I think it would do really well. Nobody wants to watch a 4 hour circle jerk.
