I recently read a funny quip about LWT that went along the lines of "watching this movie would have you believe that everyone in that time period was a successful architect." I guess the whole circle of friends were architects.

Bad boys for life was awesome. Martin Lawrence is hilarious. (One of the best reference 4k discs I've seen)

Watched waterboy for first time, it was enjoyable.

Fury was meh, cool action scenes.

Fury is basically a zombie movie where the tank is the farm house and the nazis are the zombies.

Maybe when the tank breaks down.

I assume we're not talking about the 1936 Fritz Lang movie.

Ha, that's good. I didn't mind the movie, but man, it was tough liking some of those characters and when you have a Nazi movie and both sides of characters are unlikable, you've got a little problem.

The fiancé somehow agreed to watch the LOTR extended set this weekend. This should be interesting.

Wife and I continued our (long) catch up in the MCU last night....watched GOTG 2. On the whole I enjoyed it... I know the tone is deliberately different than the other MCU films but at times it was jarring and even distracting.
The exchange about putting Drax's dookie in his pillow comes to mind. A lot of it was funny but there was some humor that completely missed the mark for me. That said, still enjoyed it a ton.

Finally getting to 1917. Halfway through.

The cinematography is astounding.

Michael Keaton was perfect in that role.

Uncut gems, i would say a thoroughly impressive movie. I might have been biased but I heard an interview where they talked about how they casted the movie, but the acting jobs and characters definitely stood out.

Currently scheduled to be released by Disney in 2022, Indy 5 originally had Steven Spielberg returning to direct Ford. Since then, we’ve learned that Spielberg has stepped away to allow James Mangold (Logan) to take over directorial duties,

A Logan style Indy film sounds great, but it's going to be super strange to watch Indiana Jones without Spielberg. I really enjoyed Ford v Ferrari too so at least the film is in very capable hands.

Indy 5 is is going to be stupid even if they resurrected Stanley Kubric, Alfred Hitchcock, Cecil B Demille, and John Ford to all collaborate on individual scenes.

HBO Max released today. The non-HBO content isn't quite as robust as the commercials made it out, however, the TCM curated section is amazing. Really great movies in there that I haven't seen available on any of the other big streaming services.

Good, I cancelled criterion channel because I wanted a little variety of old movies and not just art house. This will be nice
