Chris Hemsworth ‘Taking Time Off,’ Discovered Genetic Predisposition for Alzheimer’s Disease: ‘I’m Going to Just Simplify’
Chris Hemsworth told Vanity Fair that he is planning to take a good chunk of time off work once his press tour for the Disney+ series “Limitless” wraps. In the fifth episode of the series, Hemsworth meets with a doctor and it’s revealed that the “Thor” actor has a genetic predisposition for Alzheimer’s disease. As Vanity Fair reports: “His makeup includes two copies of the gene APOE4, one from his mother, the other from his father, which studies have linked to an increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease.”
Although Hemsworth said “it’s not like I’ve been handed my resignation,” the actor is now eight to 10 times more likely to develop the disease. Hemsworth’s grandfather is currently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Banshees of Inisherin is certainly an interesting one. It's easily Martin McDonagh's most restrained (and Irish) film he's made, something that results in his funniest film as well. It's a welcome change of pace after the relative bombast of Three Billboards and Seven Psychopaths. Some flicks you can watch, enjoy, and then they're mostly out of sight, out of mind (like the two ones I just mentioned), but I suspect Banshees will be marinating for quite some time

Indy in New York seems odd. Although this may finally lead to the Indy/Ghostbusters crossover.

Saw this last night. Funniest has to be relative here cause that was such a tragic story. I’d say despair was the strongest emotion overall. The dialogue did make me laugh a lot though and farrell was amazing.Banshees of Inisherin is certainly an interesting one. Yeah, that's a good distinction, funniest in that there were the most laughs to be had I'd say. If you subscribe to the notion of comedy being the result of tension and release, that would certainly explain it.Saw this last night. apparently Bob Iger is coming back as Disney CEO. Very interesting move
I haven’t cared about Disney in a while. Never gave a **** about about the Marvel movies, Star Wars has been dead since the prequels and their live action remakes are insulting to my intelligence
Pixar is the best portion of their company but I haven’t really liked any of their films since Coco. The original Disney animated films like Frozen, Moana and Encanto are solid but not amazing
Ultimately hopefully this will bring about some change to Disney but I’m not holding my breath

More often than not every time he has 'news' it's posted in the wrong thread and has already been discussed in depth by people with longer attention spans than him.

Watched Willow last night, Disney put it out in 4k hdr which looked great. That movie is wonderful. Val Kilmer is so damn funny. Love everything about this flick, it goes pretty hard and it's funny watching some of the new fantasy stuff today and how much we lose on screen because of CGI.
