Looking forward to the 4k, however it sounds like they screwed up the remastering again. The bluray looked like a DVD and now it sounds like the 4k looks like a bluray. No idea how they screw these up so bad. Let's scrub all the grain off, apply enough DNR so everyone looks plastic and then put fake grain back over. So annoying

The Replacements is by far my favorite football movie. It’s not the best quality but it’s the most rewatchable. I will never not laugh at “son of a dodint? I’m a son of a dodint?!”

Sandlot and Major League are tied for favorite baseball movie

D2: Mighty Ducks for hockey

White Men Can’t Jump for basketball

The Replacements is a great movie and is boosted by Keanu actually looking capable of playing the position.

Fun Hollywood fact of the day: The cheerleader outfits from The Replacements have been repurposed and reused dozens of times over the years in TV commercials. Usually they just dye the fabric different colors, but the pattern is the same.

It's cold out, might be fun to go see a movie this weekend.

*checks*

Another Clooney/Roberts movie and more comic book movies. Yay.

I guess I'll just go for a walk or something.

Yeah, the only thing coming out is a kids animated movie, which I think we'll be seeing next week.

Banshees of Insherin looks like it’s a really good movie. It’s made by the same director as In Bruges (as well as starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson similar to In Bruges). I’m gonna see it this week but it has potential

Yes, I've watched the trailer for that movie. No interest in paying money to see Colin Farrell follow an old man around like a sad puppy.

I recommend watching In Bruges at least. It’s a great movie and very funny ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Watched "All Quiet on The Western Front" while I was sick. Excellent movie. Slow at times, but fantastic WW1 movie. Tank scene at the end was fantastic.

That could be fun, yeah.

Unrelated but it made me think of it. Google keeps sending me news articles about The Inspection. The auto-biographical movie about a black gay Marine. I'm not sure I can identify with that one just because I google'd something about the USMC birthday last week, Google.

In Bruges is one of my absolute favorite movies. "If I'd grown up on a farm..........."

The final five minutes of that movie are so out-of-left-field wacky. Complete tonal shift, but still excellent.

@dodint

Are there any second-run theaters in your area? There was one walking distance from my old apartment, and I'd go see classic films a couple times a month.

Someone posted it on Reddit, but it was kind of funny... Pixar's story line for every movie is "What if _________ had feelings?"

Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish, Robots, Cars, Feelings, Dinosaurs, Mexicans, Italian Mermaids, (missed some, obviously) and now Elements

I like the randomness of the videos that appear post-clip.
