A toned down Disneyfied Deadpool would fail.

Why would Disney do that? They release their R movies from their other studios.
Not really anymore. They previously had Touchstone, Hollywood, and Miramax operating as full blown studios that would make PG13 and R rated films. Miramax was sold off and they kind of just shut the other two down.

The closest they've done to that recently was their weird distribution deal with Spielberg and Dreamworks - Lincoln, Bridge of Spies, War Horse, etc

Brian Singer has been fired as director of the new Freddie Mercury biopic. Speaking of Hollywood sexual deviancy, it's amazing that he has not been outed yet.
And his Fox offices have been shut down.
Yeah, if his story had originally broken in today's post-Harvey world, he'd be panhandling on Hollywood Blvd.

Didn't he say yesterday that he was taking care of family?

Yup.

I've never seen The Room, but Stern had on James Franco and Tommy Wisaeu and I want to see both of their movies now.

I've only seen clips of The Room and it's horrific.

Altho, I confess that I didn't know Singer was directing Bohemian Rhapsody until today.

I’m not really a big fan of the Nolan Batman movies, but this popped up in my Facebook feed today.

In other news, 'The Predator' Will Explore Why the Predators Have Come to Earth.
“Jake said the new film is set after the second one,” the site reports. “Predator 2 was released in 1990, but took place in a 1997 Los Angeles ravaged by gang violence. The third movie, 2010’s Predators, took place on another world and wasn’t set in a specific year. So, The Predator will take place between those two movies.”

“This one definitely falls in line with the original franchise in that it does focus on the technology that the Predators have,” Busey himself told the site. “It focuses on what the goal of the Predators is, and what their modus operandi, and why they come to the planet, and that type of thing. It’s definitely in line with the original franchise.”

at first, I'm thinking we don't need to know why they came to earth, didn't they make it clear it was for hunting? But Shane Black is directing, so I don't care. Secondly, I had no idea about the Jake Busey casting and that's terrific.

My guess is that they're going to expand on it. But either way, I'm all in on a Shane Black Predator.

Hot take alert: relative to available resources, pedigree and expectations, Jurassic World is the worst movie I've ever seen.

I watched it on an airplane and it was extremely blah. I can't muster much of any feeling for it.

Jurassic World is like Sam Mears. Just sort of there. I can't hate it because it's so damn vanilla and inoffensive.

I also had very low expectations for it. Not sure why anyone went in with high expectations following JP 3.

Jurassic Park 3 is precisely why I went into it with low expectations, which is exceeded. It was okay, but I didn't care for Claire's character at all, some of the reasons which the aforementioned video hit on.

As for the sequel, Jeff Goldblum returns, which I am very excited about.

Jurassic World plays better on repeat viewings. that and JP3 are fun, but the first one has the bar set so high that everything that comes after doesn't even come close.
