We've had this discussion, I think twice already, but I'll reiterate that people self-diagnosing faux-allergies hurts those with legitimate concerns. Similar to the service animal v. emotional support goldfish crowds.

this sort of rouse affects public opinion, but i'm not sure it has any significant impact on the issue progressing to where it needs to be. dead children are going to usher in the appropriate level of sensitivity. it's the only evidence people will listen to at a broad level. some schools will figure it out incrementally as they wonder if it's worth dealing with crazy allergy moms so kids can bring in candy on their birthdays. the rest will wait for the lawsuits.

Calls to boycott Peter Rabbit film amid 'food allergy bullying' claims
The new film Peter Rabbit is facing a boycott over a scene in which he and his friends hurl blackberries at a character knowing he is allergic to them.

The scene has prompted a furious backlash with some people accusing the filmmakers of creating a movie that "encourages food allergy bullying".

My only concern is how long is that gonna be? Kung Fury was just about the perfect length for it to not start getting completely stale. I don't know if I could take 90, even 80, mins of Kung Fury-esque cinema. Unless of course they toned-down some of the sequences, or spaced them out more for pacing purposes. In which case it wouldn't really have that same energy.

I'm not sure how I went this long without any knowledge of this movie, but Walk Hard is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. So good.
Walk Hard is great. Which version did you watch? The extended version has a whole deleted 80s-era section where Marisa Tomei is his wife. I think it's 80s. It might be 70s. It's been a while. :P

Did anyone see Murder on the Orient Express? Is it worth watching?

The documentary on National Lampoon was a fun watch, definitely NSFW.

Yup, all in on Incredibles 2. The first is one of my all-time favorite animated movies.

First one is one of the best superhero movies ever made, especially taking into account the superhero landscape when it came out. For context, this came out the same year as Halle Berry's Catwoman and a year before the first Fantastic Four movie.

Finally got around to watching Justice League, and honestly, I didn’t think it was as awful as some made it out to be. I was certainly expecting worse.

Oh, and Gal Gadot? JFC. I’ll watch anything with her in it now.

Saw commercials for the Death Wish reboot with Willis. The world was asking for this, was it?

I'm not nearly as all in on WW as nearly every other sentient being I know. But the highlight of watching WW is that I got a 2-hr pass to ogle Gal Gadot while sitting next to my wife.

Black Panther was very good, continuing in the Marvel tradition of the standalone super hero movies being superior to the Avengers films. Not sure where I put this one, but definitely top eight or so. I need to see it again. BTW, this is the 18th MCU film since 2008.

Interesting scene in my theater - lots of people in costume and African tribal dress (and facepaint), and a very packed theater. A lot of people you wouldn’t expect to see at a super hero movie as well.

A large church group - older, naturally - were all heading to the next theater for the Eastwood terrorism movie. Completely different audience than Black Panther, naturally.

It was very good. Had a different feeling than the typical marvel superhero nonsense. Wallace knocks it out of the park.

It's amazing to think that he was Wallace. Best post-Wire career? Stringer has had a good one, but MBJ's has been better.

I like that the actor who played Hank on Breaking Bad is also in the movie, since he's basically fat Bruce Willis.
