My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, Commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this movie or the sequel.

I read half that Nick Cave sequel screenplay and I want that more than anything.

Yes. I have kids. Disney gets my moneys.Okay Disney. Just take my money. That looks great. Disney easily could've just made a clone of the first movie and raked in the cash but instead it looks like they're going for a more serious tone and totally expanding the world. I'm in.
"Take my money"???? It's Frozen 2...

dont be a misogynistEndgame is damn near perfect if you cut out the 10 seconds where those chumps all said they'd protect Captain Marvel as she attempts to get the gauntlet across the battlefield. Hell, even removing the dialogue right there would have been fine.

Captain Marvel with her mom haircut saying "Hey Peter Parker. Ya got something for me?" is basically the beginning to 90% of the porn I've watched.

Went down memory lane last night and watched the 1993 multi oscar award winner Judgment Night. Without looking it up and because it's so good, I'm assuming Estavez and Gooding Jr both won a statue for best actor. Dennis Leary obviously picked one up for supporting (just edging out both Dorff and Piven). The soundtrack is actually pretty amazing. Will probably be following this up with the big award winner of 1994, Surviving the Game.

Watched The Love Witch last night and I dug it as watched opposite of how the director intended on making it, just couldn't take that movie seriously. Wife said it was one of the worst movies she's ever seen.

The trailer seemed super campy. Like a John Waters movie, but not as overtly challenging to the senses.

Exactly and it was fun watching it like that, but once you start digging into the creators world, she was trying hard at making a feminist statement, which is fine, but campy movie going to be campyThe trailer seemed super campy. had a delightful day watching movies with the kids yesterday. I've been holding off on this one until they were older, but finally introduced them to Batman Begins. My daughter enjoyed it the most out of all of them, maybe still too young to fully enjoy it for the others, but the 8 yr did talk in batman voice for the rest of the day. That is really a terrific movie and might just be my favorite batman movie.
Also couldn't pass up the opportunity for a free day of movie choices to introduce them to The 'Burbs. I get so much enjoyment from that movie, that everyone else in the family looks at me like I'm crazy. Tom Hanks physical comedy is top notch and he should have won every award for the sardine and dust scene. Has to be a top 5 ever movie for me. The kids (and dad) are now looking forward to spying on the neighbors this summer.

Watched Bohemian Rhapsody with the fam the other day. My 13 year old loves him some classic rock, so he was really excited for it.
I enjoyed it, but not surprised that a lot of it was made up for the film.
Rami Malek was awesome.
The Live Aid scene was basically an exact replica of the original, which was really cool.
Also saw MIB: International this week. Opening day (morning) in an empty movie theater, which tells you a lot about the interest in this film. I never got into the original movies, and this one was just meh. Good way to spend a rainy morning at the beach, I guess. Kumail Nanjiani was, well himself, as an alien character. Tessa Thompson is fun to watch for two hours.

It only made 28.5 million in its opening weekend. That's rough.Source of the post Also saw MIB: International this week. Opening day (morning) in an empty movie theater, which tells you a lot about the interest in this film.

There are a few videos on YouTube that split-screen the movie scene with the real thing, and it's goosebump-inducing.Watched Bohemian Rhapsody with the fam the other day. My 13 year old loves him some classic rock, so he was really excited for it.

I actually thought 'Brian' and 'Deakey' were as good if not better than 'Freddie'. But overall, when all the non-music scenes are factored in, I felt the movie was squarely meh.

Speaking of box office, Dark Phoenix had a 72% drop in its second week and made just over 9 mil. Yikes.
Oh and Shaft opened at 8.3 mil in 6th place.
The good news is it seems like audiences have finally had enough of studios pushing out **** movies just because it's summer. That is a horrible weekend at the box office when the top movie is MIBI at 28.5 million.

Will that result in an increase or a decrease in my ability to see Sophie Turner?

The Parking Lot Movie on Amazon is a mindless, entertaining way to spend an hour or so. It's a documentary about parking lot attendants at a lot in Charlottesville, Virginia. That's it.

Damn. That's got to be up there with that Safety Car at Indy documentary I noted on Prime the other day.
