**** the critics. The set was outstanding, and anyone who says otherwise is a whiny NTP66.

The opening Anthony Bourdain and Michael Jackson stuff was epic, and hysterical.

It was outstanding. The only negative thing that came to my brain the whole set was his weird "oh **** what did i just say im in trouble now" run away from the audience thing he must have done 3 times. Lame thing to bring up but funny because it was more awkward than anything he said. And he doesn't shy from awkward issues. I think I'll watch it again right now

Did any of you watch the Q&A stuff that started after the credits finished rolling? That was pretty interesting, especially the segment talking about the trans person in SF who loved his set. A gay family member posted on FB about how spot on he is on the LGBTetc community, and it seemed like most of his friends agreed. There were a few who stated that they turned it off after the first gay joke, but I imagine those people are just killjoys in life in general.

My friend told me about that q&a so i waited till after the credits this time but it just ended. Well at 2 seconds remaining i ended it. Hmm
Anyway I've never been the biggest Chappelle fan. Never would have called him one of my favorite comedians until now. I liked the last two from 2017 but this was just masterclass.

I know you're just showing Halloween movies, but Monty Python and the Holy Grail is also there:

I haven't been to Rangos yet but that Evil Dead screening is tempting. I think I'll pass on Season of the Witch. I don't need that damn song in my head all month.

Watched the Chapelle thing last night. It was uncharacteristically uneven with a higher than usual number of jokes that just didn't stick the landing. It was really good from the chicken/duck grease bit on through the end, but I wasn't expecting the first half to be so....... bland.

In the first 30 minutes, I think the only line that sparked a genuine lol was "long gander at the anus", which is such a great collection of words.
To be clear, it's not the material that I didn't like. It was the generally unfunny nature of it.
