The fact that WB is concurrently planning a Phoenix Joker movie and a Leto Joker movie is mind boggling to me. Of course, this is also the studio that cancelled a Justice League movie during the Bale Batman era like a week before it was supposed to start filming. Christopher Nolan seems to be the only one to keep them from making insane decisions.

Man, JL with Bale would have been killer. I never knew that tidbit before.

Hence the issue. Bale wasn’t Batman, Armie Hammer was. Seth Cohen was The Flash. Jay Baruchel was Maxwell Lord. Common was Green Lantern. Megan Gale was Wonder Woman. People not worth remembering filled the rest of the roles, including Superman. George Miller was to direct. Suits were made. Actors were in Australia for pre-production.

Lots of reasons for cancellation have been rumored, but it basically seems to boil down to Nolan telling the studio that if they release a movie with a different actor playing Batman while he was working on his trilogy they wouldn’t get a sequel to The Dark Knight.

Nolan really is DC's savior, isn't he?

Oh boy, Leto getting his own joker movie

https://variety.com/2018/film/news/joke ... ssion=true
Stealing this from r/movies:
Suicide Squad has spawned FIVE different movies:
Birds of Prey
Solo Harley Quinn movie
Joker
Suicide Squad sequel
Gotham City Sirens
It's almost as if WB/DC doesn't realize that Suicide Squad was dog ****.

Oooh, Spider-Gwen too...cool. Miles Morales' Spider-Man is a pretty good variant. Donald Glover's character in Homecoming might be Miles Morales' uncle, so we might see two Spider-men in the MCU.

On another note, the reviews of the Fred Rogers documentary are coming out today. How can a documentary about a kid's TV show (created and hosted by a minister) get a PG-13 rating?

Solo Harley Quinn movie
Read this as a DC-Lucas xover.

I regret to say that I only saw The Incredibles for the first time last month. My daughter loves it too.

Diane Nelson, the president of DC Entertainment and president of Warner Bros. consumer products who has been on leave for several months, is not returning to the studio.

Probably my all-time favorite score composed by Not John Towner Williams. :thumb:

Is that some sort of pseudo-biopic of lady gaga?

I don't understand why people are so hyped over that trailer. I get that it's Gaga, but I feel like I've already seen that movie many different times.

remake of the 70s movie with Babs and Kristofferson. And that looks really good. I had no idea that's what Lady Gaga looked like

also if they were smart, they'd get a Gary Busey cameo from the original in it

Which was a remake of a 1954 movie starring Judy Garland, which itself was a remake of a 1937 movie.

This is actually the second or third time the movie has been remade. Original came out in the 30s.

EDIT: As Double D has already pointed out. :face:
