Going to recommend this book again...I mean, it won a Pulitzer, but this is the best book out there on both Oppenheimer and the Project imo. Also has a lot of great material about his early life, the other great physicists of the age, his later time at Princeton with Einstein, etc.I am interested in Nolan's take on Oppenheimer, a real character in every sense of the word.

Family movie night was Predator. Big hit with the kids, they were up reading my graphic novels this morning. That movie is so good. Can't wait for Prey on Aug 5. Sounds like it's getting very good praise.

My mom texts me last night, out of the blue, and asks "do you still like dungeons and dragons." I know she (and my two boys) were watching Stranger Things last week when they visited my parents, so I figured that's what she was talking about. Nope, there's a movie coming out (she must have seen the trailer on Entertainment Tonight or some such.)
Weird. I did see a gelatinous cube, so there probably will be tons of old school D&D rulebook Easter eggs (that I won't remember from 35 years ago lol).

My family is pretty big on D&D and there were some good callbacks and this looks like great fun. My youngest has owl bear stuffed animals so was very pumped about that inclusion. I just wonder what it would look like to have a more serious movie. This looks fun and silly and I'll definitely watch, but I feel like they go this route too much with that property

Also Predator 2 is an underrated sequel. It's really really good just overshadowed by the awesome that is the original.

The big takeaway from the kids seeing predator for their first time last night was 1. The muscle hand shake meme 2. They were rooting for predator because he doesn't hurt women or children, only those who are a threat to him. They loved that. 3. Billy was very popular, unfortunately he turned out to be a crazy person in real life.

I had to look up who Billy was because this could've also been about Jesse The Body.Source of the post 3. Billy was very popular, unfortunately he turned out to be a crazy person in real life.

The story of the first D&D movie is kinda hysterical. Took like a dozen years to fund, develop, and produce, only for them to complete the film with out any U.S. distribution. It was an objectively s**t movie, but New Line had just invested $300 million in Lord of the Rings and didn't want any threat to that investment. So for a paltry $[small number] million they acquired the D&D distribution rights - and, crucially, the sequel and merch rights - and promptly let the film loose to die.
It wasn't that they were worried about competition. The film was so bad they were worried about it damaging interest in the entire genre. A condition of the rights acquisition was a theatrical release, so New Line did that and little else to promote the film. They didn't exploit the sequel rights until after LOTR had run its course, and at that they went DTV with it.

Is it possible to download an app that works as a FM transmitter so I can dial in the local drive in station and then Bluetooth that to a speaker?

I've used Simple Radio in the past to find stations to stream on my iPhone, which you can obviously pair via BT.Is it possible to download an app that works as a FM transmitter so I can dial in the local drive in station and then Bluetooth that to a speaker?

I looked there, the problem I'm having is they appear to be dialed in stations streaming over internet and not FM. I haven't been able to find something where I can dial in the local radio station broadcasting, they are all preset channels.I've used Simple Radio in the past to find stations to stream on my iPhone, which you can obviously pair via BT.Is it possible to download an app that works as a FM transmitter so I can dial in the local drive in station and then Bluetooth that to a speaker?

Well yeah, iPhones don't have AM/FM chips in them, so all streaming has to be over the Internet.I looked there, the problem I'm having is they appear to be dialed in stations streaming over internet and not FM. eddy you want a radio.

I think that's a hardware level thing, not an app. Unless there's a website that's repeating your specific theater's audio feed. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean.
