Farrell has said that he’s only in five or six scenes. More of a setup for future movies.

Made the mistake of watching about an hour of Frank Miller's The Spirit. This is one of the worst pieces of trash I've ever witnessed. The dialogue is this cringe worthy faux noir garbage and the acting is almost deliberately terrible.

The Batman trailer looked good. Hoping this isn't the 50th iteration of his origin story though.

It is 100% Year One/Two era Batman.

Finally went to the theater and didn't see the worst movie ever (breaking a two movie streak)...saw the last duel. It's a movie about rape told three times over and then a fight scene. I fell asleep for over an hour in the theater and literally didn't miss a thing...ok movie as far as rape goes...

Exclusive theatrical release and it still bombed hard. Last Duel made $4.8 million. Halloween Kills did $50.4m despite releasing on Peacock.

Most definitely.

My last semi-pick was an off Broadway musical about Newfoundland during 9/11 called Come From Away...which was a C+ musical. Pig and Card Counter are reprehensible affronts to any god that may exist...The Last Duel is just a movie that exists that no one will remember for any particular reason (unless something different happened in the time that I was asleep)...it's not bad, good acting, good cast...but it's not anything noteworthy...

You should start a thread that is basically a competition to allow somebody from 5AF to pick the movies you see.

Plus it’s directed by Joel Coen, and stars Frances McDormand as Lady Macbeth.

Hollywood Strike Averted As IATSE & AMPTP Reach Deal On New Film & TV Contract

Still needs ratified though. Might be an issue just based on what I've been hearing from those in the union who aren't very happy with the agreement.

It just didn’t look interesting at all. Oh 2 guys want to fight for… reasons. Nothing about it seemed interesting from the trailer.

Saw this recently and enjoyed it. I can't say I had any of the songs or melody stuck in my head, but it makes great use of the camera, must more so than, say, Hamilton.

Dune this Thursday on HBO. I really want to see this in IMAX, but will try and wait for a later weekend. Daughter and I read the book this year, so we are planning a big dune party Friday. Looking forward to this.

Hmm, I have been looking for an excuse to go see a movie. Perhaps this is the one, though I'm not sure if IMAX is worth it for mostly desert stuff.

I've been pumped to see Dune myself, but the only other person I know that is excited enough to go to the theater would be my SIL. And she just moved out of the area. Wonder if I can convince enough friends to buy into the HBO showing.
