So I've watched that Joker trailer a few more times, and it's growing on me. Watched it w Mrs Tif a little bit ago, and she described her reaction as 'intrigued". Which is as close to a thumbs up as she gets for action movies.

Tom Hooper (yes I'm aware I may be the only one who liked Les Miserables) is making Cats now. Apparently the actors are all going to be in cat costumes with fur being CGI later (edit: sounds like they may all be motion captured) and the sets are giant so they will actually look, well, cat sized. This is going to be crazy and I can't wait.

cast
Jennifer Hudson as Grizabella[2]
Taylor Swift as Bombalurina[3]
Francesca Hayward as Victoria[4]
Judi Dench as Old Deuteronomy[5]
Ian McKellen as Gus the Theatre Cat[6]
James Corden as Bustopher Jones[7]
Idris Elba as Macavity[8]
Robert Fairchild as Munkustrap[9]
Laurie Davidson as Mr. Mistoffelees[10]
Rebel Wilson as Jennyanydots[11]
Jason Derulo as Rum Tum Tugger[12]
Steven McRae as Skimbleshanks[13]
Daniela Norman as Demeter[14]

Mr. Mistoffelees is one of my favorite songs and I love how wiki describes this cat: A young black and white tuxedo tom learning to control his magical powers.[28] He is a featured dancer, performing a minimum of twenty-four fouettés en tournant during his number. Mistoffelees' chorus identity is sometimes known as Quaxo.

I've never watched a Terminator movie but I seem to recall that Arnold is a robot. Do they ever explain why he ages? Just curious.

John: Now don't take this the wrong way, but you are a Terminator, right?

Terminator: Yes. Cyberdyne Systems, Model 101.

John: [Pokes at one of Terminator's bullet wounds.] Holy ****! You're really real! I mean, you're like a machine underneath, right? But sort of alive outside?

Terminator: I'm a cybernetic organism. Living tissue over a metal endoskeleton.

The first Terminator is one of the best scifi movies ever. It's way deeper than just an action movie and I think it's streaming on Netflix or Amazon. Really can say the same thing about the 2nd.

The Terminator is an extraordinary achievement. We take it for granted 35 years on, and knowing Cameron's subsequent filmography. But his résumé pre-T consisted of directing a Piranha sequel, and performing every craft on a series of Roger Corman movies. No one had any reason to expect an instant classic. Or even just a particularly good movie, for that matter.

My favorite thing about T2 is there's no actual surround sound on the audio. The way Dolby Surround worked was it took a 2-channel mix and derive 2 additional channels. All sound the existed in equal intensity and in phase in both channels was summed and sent to the front center channel. Similarly, audio from both channels in equal intensity and out of phase was summed and sent to the mono surround channel. There was no effort made by the sound crew to deliberately encode surround audio. So any surround sound in the theatrical mix was what they called 'magic surround' and just derived sort by happenstance. Which makes T2 the last non-surround movie to win the Oscar for Best Sound.
