Dead Won't Die was funny. Got obnoxiously heavy handed though.

tifosi77 can (and will  ) comment further, and neither of us can speak to the British love of the Beatles, but they are in my estimation the birth of the pop musician as artist phenomenon. The Beatles wrote their own music, had a distinct fashion sense, played all of their own instruments, and set the tone for pop culture in the 60s.

Sure, there were other successful artists before them - Elvis, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry - but they didn't do all of the above exclusively.

Without the Beatles, I'm not sure what pop/rock music would look or sound like today. Torch singers? Country music? Who knows. They were highly influential, and remain so today. Younger generations are just used to pop music culture as it is, they don't realize its origin.
*ahem*

;)

You are correct, in all your statements. The Beatles are rock. Just as much as you can trace a straight line from John Williams back through Gustav Mahler and Gustav Holst, to eventually arrive at Ludwig van Beethoven, modern rock music, in all forms, has the common ancestor of The Beatles. As with Beethoven, you can go further back to identify this or that trait in earlier artists, but the branch of the tree that we're still on, with all of its various tributaries, connects to the trunk at the The Beatles.

I can’t believe I’m saying this in 2019: Bo Peep is a Mary Sue

Otherwise, Toy Story 4 is a lot of fun

If the Beatles are directly responsible for pop music as we know it today I wouldn't mind taking a crack at a world that never knew them.

So the four TS movies are 100%, 100%, 98%, 98%. Needless to say, no film series surpasses that in terms of critical longevity.

My thing with Toy Story is that, while I’ve loved every one of the films, is this just something they’re gonna continue doing forever?

I assumed 3 was going to be the finale but now it seems like they’ll just keep going

The only reason we got TS 3 was because Disney owns the characters and they love money. So they told Pixar either you do a third movie or we will without you. I'm assuming something similar happened this time as well. That said, if they continue to be such high quality, I don't see the harm.

Did not even know this was a thing; I thought OG Bruce was destroyed after J2. If this means Bruce is going to eventually be on public display, that is very good news..

It's awesome that Greg Nicotero is working on it given that:
Nicotero claims he began taking an interest in special effects after viewing the film Jaws. He explains: "I kept thinking 'How the hell did they do that?! How'd they build a big giant shark that could eat people?!' So, between that movie, The Exorcist, Planet of the Apes, and of course all of the Universal horror movies [...] I think Jaws and then later Dawn of the Dead were pretty much the two movies that did it for me."
Just a yinzer living the dream.
