100%Agreed, though of the two, Fight Club still holds up a lot, lot better.American History X is a movie that feels really cool and edgy and important when you're in high school. Same with Fight Club.

Had an interesting double feature last night. Mama Mia/the silence of the lambs. Mama Mia is really weird, but I kinda dug it. Lambs is so good.

One of the interesting things about Lambs that I learned a few years after the fact - When I read the book, it contained the detail about the examiners rubbing Vick's Vapo-rub under their noses during the autopsy protocol of Frederica Bimmel's body, and I was happy to see they kept that detail in the movie, as it had a ring of truth to it. Then I learned that they actually would not do that, because it could occlude odors that might be insightful in determining things like time of death, or (in Bimmel's case) length of time under water, as things that cause certain smells might not happen until x-point in time post-mortem in whatever decomposition stage the body was in.

Two things that concern me: 1) Scooby has full conversations now, and 1) the voices.

Awful. Scooby Doo should not talk in complete sentences.

I honestly didn't know anybody cared enough about Scooby Doo to be concerned about a new movie.

If this were a Disney show, you'd be singing a different tune, I'm sure.

No judgement. I truly didn't know there was a fanbase.

It looks like the older James Bond films are on Amazon Prime. Good times. (No Daniel Craig films though).
And Chef finally is back there too.

The VFX guys appear to have corrected all of the nonsense from the original trailer, so kudos to them.

At least now the only shitty thing about the movie will probably be it’s plot.

The Lighthouse.
To quote a famous tv character: "Well I don't know what I expected."
What was expected though was great mise en scene, scenery-chewing acting, and a couple really memorable shots.
