Have you seen the new Apollo movie that just came out this year? It is apparently quite bonkers.

Yeup, that be it. The director was a guest of the Still Untitled/Tested/Adam Savage podcast a couple weeks ago, and it was fascinating

So, Allison Williams is a terrible person, right? That's all I can think after this trailer and Get Out.

It gets even better. Pretty sure the "sequel" is also a soft reboot.

This is something...

The cast interests me more than the trailer.

Something tells me this might be the zenith of Aubrey Plaza's movie career.

This is one of my favorite all-time movie monologues. Right up there with Colonel Nathan R Jessup, United States Marine Corps.

I'm usually not very good at figuring out plot twists way ahead of time, but I got the "why wasn't he packed" thing in AFGM. Felt good.

Watched Under the Silver Lake last night and it's one of the weirdest movies i seen in a looooong time. Often hilarious and often puzzling. I dug it.

Shazam! was another good DC movie. Not what I was expecting, it was a pretty dark movie. Wife and I looked at each other a couple times wondering maybe we shouldn't have brought the 7 year old (he liked it best).

The Kid Who Would Be King was a pretty good PG family movie. I wanted to like it a lot more than I did after how much I enjoyed Joe Cornish's Attack the Block 8 years ago, but it was still pretty fun.

Withnail & I was terrific. Richard Grant is so good. Highly recommend.

watched Downfall yesterday

what a great, interesting movie. I see that one criticism is that it "humainzed" Hitler and I think that's a lame criticism. Hitler wasn't some demon sent by Satan, he was a human and if we want to be true to history we have to understand that it was his human qualities that allowed him to become what he became

the petrifying cult of personality around Hitler reminded me a little bit of Trump and Hillary this last election. I'm not saying Trump and Hillary are Hitler, but this undying love of a politician is alarming, regardless of who the politician is. For example, the people who literally weeped when Hillary lost...they remind me of Goebbels and his wife (****, that one scene with his wife... :( ) and them in the film. Same with people who post on r/The_Donald

Yes, several of us here watched it. I think we all enjoyed it. I certainly did.
