Fogler is probably the #1 reason I like the first one. I wouldn't say that he saved the movie, but he certainly made up for Redmayne's issues.

I'm a big fan of Harry Potter. Loved the books, loved the movies (which weren't without their flaws), love the Harry Potter Land stuff at Universal. I had no desire to see Fantastic Beasts and have even less desire to see this one, which is getting pretty terrible reviews. Something just seems off about these movies.

I can pinpoint exactly why I don't want to see those movies. Eddie **** Redmayne. Every time I see his stupid face I can't help but think of his stupid voice ruining every Marius song in Les Mis.

That's a big part of it for sure. Having still not seen Beasts, a movie in the HP universe centered around Eddie Redmayne isn't enticing me. They make a sequel, throw in young Dumbledore, and then apparently give him little screen time. Also not enticing me. I think a Harry Potter spinoff or prequel series needed to have DNA closer to the original run and the characters people loved so much. Reading lots of comments online about how much this new movie clashes with what was established in the original series, which is also not a good thing and was also apparently a problem with the Cursed Child play. Rowling doesn't seem to be paying much attention to her universe anymore.

WB would be better off backing up dump trucks of cash to Radcliffe and Watson (Grint would probably only need a wheelbarrow) and making a sequel series with them as adults.

Fantastic beasts is a lot of Redmayne pointing a stick at obvious green screen tennis balls, with a look on his face like he can't decide to crap his pants or have an orgasm/stroke.

watched the 3rd movie (Baby Cart to Hades) in the Lone Wolf and Cub series and it continues to be crazy samurai cinema from the 70s.

Finally got around to watching Three Billboards.

First, the acting performances were some of the absolute best I've seen. Rockwell was incredible, and McDormand, of course, was her usual self. Harrelson has enjoyed one hell of a late career resurgence.

I wasn't a huge fan of the ending, but I guess that's the typical modern movie ending

Randomly watched Lethal Weapon 4 the other night. Yes, obviously it pales in comparison to the first two especially, but I still thought it was an enjoyable couple of hours. Riggs and Murtaugh never get old to me.

That is an odd choice of words given the running gag of the series. lol

Lethal Weapon 4 to me is like Die Hard 3 or Last Crusade. It wasn't as successful as previous films, but is the best sequel imo. Jet Li ftw.

Watched Creed over the weekend. Probably the first time since it's been out. Man, what an emotional powerhouse of a movie.

Also watched Taika Waititi's Boy. I thought it was very sad with some brilliant moments of comedy spread out.

Sam Rockwell is awesome. He's great in Moon, 3 Billboards, Frost/Nixon, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and the Assassination blah blah blah. And the fact that he was part of the early Stella shorts just makes him even cooler.
