Did not expect Rami to win. Wow.

Thought for sure Bale would take it.

Hollywood can’t even vote for a pretend Republican.

Lol

There was no real denying that. I personally don't quite think he rates it, but I'm glad Queen are getting a third life out if this. All of the licensing activity of their music now is padding their family nesteggs, and I'm okay with that.

Also, I think this might be the first time since Return Of The King that I've seen the Best Picture winner during its year of eligibility.

**** I bet RBG to win best doc...I thought because she had cancer or whatever and it makes a political statement that that would be as a good of an underdog lock as I could find...

I don't understand how it's determined who is the lead actor, vs the supporting actor. I would have assumed that Stone and Weisz had dueling lead roles in the Favourite, and Colman was the supporting actress.

We’re hearing from an insider that when #GreenBook was announced the winner, Spike Lee was "clearly furious." He was pacing the aisle and stormed to the back of the auditorium. When he came back, he turned his back to the stage during the speech. #Oscars

Apparently Spike thought he was at a Knicks game and disagreed with the call.

Why was Spike so upset that Green Book won?

The controversy is that it is a story from the Jim Crow south told from a white perspective, and all of the people on stage were white.

Because while he is a filmmaker of uncommon quality, he is also a human being completely lacking in common qualities.

This was clearly (imo) a case of vote splitting, not 'the Man'.

When Black Panther won for Best Original Score and this guy...

...mosied up to the stage to collect his award, I'd have offered him Randy's Donuts for a year if he opened with, "I'm probably not what you were expecting....."

Haha, the last BP winner I've seen period was The Departed, and ROTK was indeed the last one I saw pre-Oscars. :scared:

I haven't seen the movie yet, but a good movie is a good movie to me. Didn't Octavia Spencer put together this movie?

I was rooting for Yalitza Aparicio but Coleman's speech was the best of the night.
