I think I'll skip this trailer. They had me at "Halloween."

His new film, Worth, looks interesting. It's about putting a value on 9/11 victims. Out on Netflix I think.

This was very good. Great performances from Keaton, Stanley Tucci, and Amy Ryan.

Third

The last trailer showed me how Michael gets out of the basement and that's enough spoiler for me.

Haven't seen it in maybe 20 years. I remember it being....weird isn't even the right word.

IATSE To Seek Strike Authorization From Members
https://deadline.com/2021/09/iatse-stri ... 234841037/

This is a big deal. IATSE is the biggest union for entertainment workers, something like 140,000 people and a lot of productions will be impacted. Hopefully it gets worked out before that happens.

Guns of Navarone...lots of cheese, but very entertaining. Always loved the ska version of the main theme:

I can't put my finger on it but something about him has always been slightly repulsive. Like, if we found out he had children butchered and bagged in a freezer we wouldn't be surprised, right? He's a good actor but he just comes off as piercingly, aggressively cold every time.

Cry Macho (HBO Max) was pretty good. Good to see 90-year-old Clint riding around on a horse and seemingly moving around like someone 15 years younger. Sweet story, but the lead kid wasn't a great actor. Definitely worth checking out.

Eastwood surrounded by bad young actors? That's the Gran Torino formula.

Eastwood is famous for only doing one take. That's probably not a great recipe for a child actor.

Ha, my brother said if you like watching movies with a 90 year old that walks, talks and acts like a 90 year old, this movie is for you.

That cast sucks. Jack Black will do OK. I love Charlie Day but as Luigi?

The only reason I don’t say the entire cast sucks in their roles is because I have no idea who Anya Taylor-Joy is.

These video game movies…just have them do what they do in the games without any background context. Mortal Kombat? Just have a bananas fighting tournament for no reason whatsoever. Mario? Have these guys jumping on turtles and sh*t, jump up flag poles at intervals and make them die and get resurrected 3 times as an arbitrary thing. I’d watch that.

Frog-like Chess Girl from Queens Gambit.
