Sorry, making sense is new to me.
I thought the Oracle actress died. Thus the recast
She did. Given the nature of the character, recasting a similar type was a dumb move.

I've always enjoyed the Matrix universe...cool premise. I wouldn't mind more content set in that environment.

Jurassic World was dumber than I remembered. If you cut out the love interest storyline between Chris Pratt and the raptors it's an instant improvement. Unfortunately that's a pretty big aspect of the story. I really like the world of the film, with the working theme park. I liked the Indominus rex. The characters are serviceable, even Bryce Dallas Howard was fine. The raptor stuff kind of ruined everything. It's a tight competition for second best film in the franchise right now between Lost World and Jurassic World.

Fallen Kingdom is next. I haven't seen it but have heard horrible things. Can't wait.

But did you like Jimmy Buffett running with two margaritas in his hands?

I did, yeah. Made me laugh. It reminds me of Willrow Hood.

Worst movie I’ve ever seen, relative to my expectations. It’s so incredibly stupid. Which is fine for an action movie like Transformers or whatever but not as a reboot of JP.

It's at least on par with Lost World and definitely better than JP3. This exercise has made me realize that the Jurassic Park franchise is pretty bad, really. It's one amazing film and a handful of mediocre to really bad followups. It's basically Jaws.

JP3 is one of the worst pieces of trash.

I can sign on to this take.

Jaws --- Amazing film, reset the entire notion of how movies are distributed. Perfect in its construction, amazing performances by the cast. The shark is still working nearly 50 years on.

Jaws 2 --- Actually not that bad of a movie. Definitely pales in comparison, but of course it does. If it had been the first one, it wouldn't have been as revolutionary and it also wouldn't be remembered for much.

Jaws 3D --- lol

Jaws: The Revenge --- The shark. Swims. To the Bahamas. Faster. Than. A jet. Flies there.

Jaws IV and He-man are the worst movies I've ever paid money to see in a theater.

Didn't they re-release the original in 3D?

Lost World and JP3 were a hair above straigh-to-DVD releases though. I mean I guess LW is like Frozen 2…a mediocre sequel that was destined to be mediocre, but still had talent attached to it.

Jurassic World had the GDP of Germany behind it and all the marketing and talent in the world available. It was very very hyped as a legitimate movie. And then it wasn’t.

Idk possibly? It was more a dig at Jaws 3D than anything else.

Ha, you laugh but I have one of those puppies.

I got it as a kid and played with it like a normal kid would do, and it's not worth anything other than sentiment today. But in unboxed condition, it would probably pull a few hundred dollars.

The new Halloween flick (Halloween Kills - what a terrible, terrible title) will premiere on Peacock on Oct 15.

I haven't been to a theatre since Feb 2020 and I'll admit, I don't miss it at all. Thus, this news makes me very happy.

I disappoint myself.

I just got tired of crowds talking, fake screaming (teens at horror movies are the worst), seeing cell phones light up constantly, etc. I still enjoy the drive in, but most around here close in early October.

We go to early Saturday matinees for movies these days...way less annoying people and cheaper.

I'll be going to the theater for the new Halloween movie.
