So, I was looking for showtimes for Captain Marvel for this Friday, and none of the Regal theaters in my area even show it as being available past Wednesday. Is this something new that I missed since I never see a movie in the opening few weeks, where they only allow you to purchase tickets a few days ahead of time max?
sometimes they'll put out the big movies on the schedule ahead, but I think they don't normally release the weeks schedule until Tuesday afternoon.

Yeah George Miller gives zero **** about safety. Those movies couldn't have been made in the US.

I'd say the opposite. Reading about the amount of planning and attention to detail to make those without CGI is a feat in itself, but I agree with the US part. That movie is a masterpiece.

I have it on Blu-Ray, think I need to rewatch that sucker in my basement setup.

I thought I read an article a while back about how dangerous those sets were, but that may have been referring to the original 3 movies...

@eddysnake

Help me out here. When Mondo releases an Alien t-shirt, they put a little patch on the hem that basically the Wey-Yu logo turned upside down so it reads as an M. For Mondo. (I don't know if they include this on other soft goods or hard goods) I can't decide if this is cool or lazy.
for what it's worth, they are having a Jurassic Park shirt release today and it says:

Includes an official JURASSIC PARK hem tag

I saw a trailer for Paddleton, a Netflix film written by the Duplass brothers and starring Ray Romano. I thought it would be a quirky comedy, but it was quite a bit darker than that. I'm still thinking about it a day later, which is rare these days. Good counterpoint to After Life, also on Netflix.

Looks pretty good. Naomi Scott is a fine piece, liking what I see from Will Smith as Genie, dude playing Aladdin has a weak singing voice, and Jafar still sounds like a punk ass dodint. Needs to be older and sound more menacing.

Agreed completely - especially the last bit about Jafar. He doesn't have enough authority in his voice to make my daughter even pay him any attention.

This movie takes a step back if Gilbert Gottfried isn't the voice of Iago. And I can't seem to find information if he'll speak or not in this.

No word yet on who will voice Iago, Jafar's parrot — original actor Gilbert Gottfried is reportedly not involved in the film.

I thought the same thing, but I will say that I thought similar things about Gaston from the Beauty and the Beast trailer and thought he nailed it after seeing the movie, so fingers crossed.

Yup, I hated the original Genie CGI but hopefully most of it is Will Smith himself, as I did like that. I completely agree on Aladdin's singing voice, you could barely hear him over Jasmine.

Think this would convince Universal Studios to reopen the Backdraft attraction? I loved that. God help me if they ever close the Waterworld stunt show.
