Okay, let's try this again. Superman hasn't had a good film since Donner.

I don't care, so long as Cavill plays Superman.

If they want a legit reboot, retconning all the bullshit that has come from the Snyder-verse, they're going to have to recast.

I don't see why he would have to be recast. He was never the issue in any of the movies.

Just watch the video of Kevin Smith talking his Superman screenwriting experience and call it a day.

If the idea is to retcon Man of Steel, BVS, and Justice League, I think it would be confusing to do that with the same actor.

He'll never do it, but my vote would be Tom Welling

He would absolutely be my #2 choice.

Does Tom Welling even have a career anymore?

I think one of the only net positives from the Snyder-verse is the hero casting, which I assume is why they're trying to retcon/reboot through a Flashpoint movie.

For kids between 6-8, Night at the Museum is a perfect series of family movies. Hadn't seen them before. Wouldn't watch them solo. But had a wonderful time, end-to-end, with the kiddos

Yeah, I gotta say it was way funnier than I expected. Even the recent one, years after the Stiller/Wilson combo lost their fast ball...pretty pretty good.

She was a weird phenomenon. Did anyone write dialogue for her or was it always just mumbling ironic opinions about her appearance? Every role.

Watched Throne if Blood by Kurosawa. A really good MacBeth adaptation and Kurosawa is an artiste.

Kind of interesting comparing it to Ran. They could’ve had the same scope but Ran came later and was much more expensive and thus Ran was an epic while Throne of Blood is still good but more muted

Kagemusha is my favorite Kurosawa.Tampopo is one of my all time favorite japanese movies.

Watched dumb and dumber last night and I swore there were added scenes in it that I didn't remember and it doesn't make the movie better. The dream sequence is one of the best scenes in cinema.

Yeah, but all are terrific. Kids wanted to watch d&d again and I'm not going to pass up on a good laugh. I guess I could have watched the golden globes and borat winning over hamilton, but I prefer my laughs via jim carrey.

Actually dickie, that big bird message is incorrect as tampopo is extremely silly, much like dumb and dumber

Wait, if tampopo and dumb are similar, that leaves kagemusha as the one not like the other. You were correct. Apologies. Carry on.

That movie has a ton of good buzz. It'll likely be a Best Picture nom along with Best Actress for Frances McDormand.

Stand by my thoughts. It's a well done movie, but the liberties they took to make it an artsy award flick aren't for me when you have such good material that would make a more impactful movie/documentary. I'm not surprised it won at all, I just feel there was a better way to present the material.
