Out of the Shadows just came out in 2016. Is this "relaunch" in the same universe or is it another reboot?

Jason Reitman is doing a direct sequel to Ghostbusters 2. Not sure about cast...

I read "reboot", which is what it needs. It also needs turtles that don't look like they're 95% steroids.

Ghostbusters is my favorite movie of all time. A Ghostbusters movie without Harold Ramis is not Ghostbusters. I doubt Murray will be involved since he's stated repeatedly that he has no interest in a third film. Akroyd will definitely be there because he has been pushing a new movie since 1989. Also he's literally insane. Ernie Hudson likely will be there as well since he's currently doing signings at conventions dressed as Winston.

I suppose there's a way to do it that doesn't feel inauthentic and forced like the Paul Feig version, but I don't have very high hopes.

I would 1000000% support them using the same turtles from the 90s movies. They were awesome.

The turtles looked best in the first movie and somehow got worse as the budgets got larger.

If we don't talk about III, we definitely shouldn't speak of the Coming Out of their Shells Tour...

Please let well enough alone. While not my favorite movie, Ghostbusters is darn near perfect in every respect.

Also holds a special place in my heart, as it was the first movie I ever went to with a friend and no chaperone; imagine the giggling from two 5th graders at the "this man has no dick" line. Shoot, who am I kidding, I still laugh like that at those jokes.

If it's going to happen, I hope it's set in near future and the original Ghostbusters have long since retired or better yet died of old age. You get the sense through dialogue or archived news footage/photos that the original team continued fighting ghosts after the second movie until their job was done and ghosts stopped coming into our world. We've been living in a world of peace for decades until something happens that re-opens the door and ghosts start pouring into New York again.

I don't know who the new batch of Ghostbusters are, but I would like a scene where they break into a boarded up fire station and discover the original Ecto-1 covered in cobwebs. Needs some suspension work and shocks, brakes, brake pads, lining, steering box, transmission, rear-end...

Thanks for bringing me back.

Gotta admit though, I dig the visual style, the music, and the "weight" to the protons in that teaser.

Cruise will keep cranking those out until he dies filming one of them.

Also, if you enjoy sweaty palms, "Free Solo" is currently playing on the LieMAX at the Waterfront. Highly recommend seeing that baby on the biggest screen possible.

looks interesting. I'm going to pretend Wade Garrett never died and this is his continuing journey in life.
