I don’t know what’s worse: LMM’s songwriting or Awkwafina’s vocals

April looks like she was designed in a Tumblr contest.

I… don’t hate that song. I mean it’s not amazing and definitely not up to his usual standards but it’s not horrible. The worst part is probably how it doesn’t really jive with the rest of the music. I do hate the character design, though.

god damn. This was…way more interesting than I expected it to beAmerican Gladiator 30 for 30 released
I am erect
they go over the creation and production of the show, as well as interviewing a lot of the gladiators. It gives a really humanizing glimpse into the gladiators’ personal lives and how conflicting being in the show was.
But the doc also delves into meta drama about its creators and the doc takes on a whole new direction
It’s really really good. Long (two 1.5 hour parts) but worth it

I watched the first one and found it super boring. Maybe it’s because I’ve watched a ridiculous amount of pro wrestling docs but this was tame as hell. Oh an eccentric creator (promoter) controlling and keeping money from the gladiators (wrestlers)? Shocking. Wait the gladiators had to become their characters and miss family time? OMG they did drugs and slept with coworkers? This is pro wrestling and it’s the least interesting/surprising version of it.

Was it intended to be shocking? Idk, I thought it was interesting to see the beginings and see some of the gladiators today.
I also think that pro wrestling is incredibly dumb, so maybe that's where our tastes differ.

Yeah, I definitely think it was supposed to have a shock factor. The most interesting part was the original creation of the games and the guy who created it. Does episode 2 focus on him?

I haven't watched the second one yet. I thought that was interesting also. I also didn't know he was originally pitching it as a movie.Yeah, I definitely think it was supposed to have a shock factor. Behind the scenes origin plus some nostaglia made it entertaining to me.

Finally went to see Guardians 3. Really enjoyed it after a bit of a slog at the beginning.

The real question is: will you be able to hear the dialogue?

Mario movie was fun. It's definitely geared for little kids and doesn't really have some of the adult humor other illumination movies have, but that was ok by me. Music and animation was fantastic and easter eggs makes me want to watch again. I really hope we get more depth in the next one. Kinda feels like this was a 2 hour movie cut down to 1hr20min. It flys by

None. The answer is "none". And in a movie like this, I think....... well, it will tend to be a real detriment to understanding the proceedings. The real question is: will you be able to hear the dialogue?
What I don't get is how a filmmaker so clearly sensitive to the end user experience on the picture front can be so out massively clueless when it comes to audio.

I really don't get it with Nolan and audio. Even to the level of **** with Bale's voice and the studio forcing him to ADR Bane after negative comments when the opening scene was previewed with some other IMAX movie. Dude needs a hearing test.

Had that at the grove. It was… meh

Yes, but now you know what Danny Trejo's (doll's) hair smells like.
(I'll take it as a given that the tacos were also 'glistening', because of course they were.)

The best part about that meal was the Mexican Coke. But let’s be honest, Mexican Coke is the best part of any meal.
