Deadpool 3 has started filming—and Ryan Reynolds isn't allowed to improvise
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/dea ... 00021.html
Because Ryan Reynolds wrote the script and is obviously a member of the WGA, he cannot improvise on set as that constitutes rewriting. A Deadpool movie where Deadpool can’t improvise doesn’t seem like the best idea.

Terrible idea on the surface, but given the character they can easily ADR new dialogue in post-production if/when the strike ends.

I'm having strong glitch-in-the-Matrix vibes over this story for some reason.

Also ADR is perhaps not all that useful an option here. If he's improvising so much that he's getting a writer credit then he's doing more than snarky one-liners. Entire scenes may be turning on the improvisation, etc. It's not just a plug-and-play thing

It’s a combo. Sometimes it’s one liners that are improvised, sometimes it’s entire bits
I doubt the writers strike lasts long enough for them not to be able to eventually re-shoot whole scenes if RR has an idea

Maybe because the last writer's strike gave us X-Men Origins: Wolverine.I'm having strong glitch-in-the-Matrix vibes over this story for some reason.

Operation Fortune (Jason Statham, Hugh Grant, etc.) was way better than I expected it to be. Very entertaining.

We watched Ghost last night. Holds up pretty well, teenagers actually enjoyed it. Horrific special effects on the demons that suck two bad guys away, but still very good.
I was just wondering why this hadn't been remade when I noticed that Channing Tatum bought the rights to it earlier this year.

Also, a very young Stephen Root is in Ghost. Very different role than what I'd been watching him lately on Barry.

Watched it on the airplane last week. I was disappointed, the gentlemen was so good, I was hoping to see that Ritchie got his mojo back. This formulaic and lame. And plaza was comically out of place. Hugh grant was great and josh hartnett was oddly pretty great in it, but otherwise - giant mehOperation Fortune (Jason Statham, Hugh Grant, etc.) was way better than I expected it to be. Aubrey Plaza was definitely the weak link in the movie, and her character made no sense.

The Angriest Man In Brooklyn - a movie I had never heard of until yesterday - got thrown on while I nursed an AC weekend hangover...wow, that's a really bad movie. That's all.

Ghosted is not good. I mean, sure Ana de Armas. It's wild that the guy who directed it also did some decent, visually interesting movies, because this one looks and feels like a commercial stretched out to 2 hours.
And this is coming from a rom-com guy who's usually pretty easy on the genre.

Oh it's on there as well. But let's not include it with the others. (Even though it wasn't as bad as I remembered it on release)

not just that but the concept is kind of intellectually insulting. Ghosting is a real issue (where people not just end relationships out of the blue but go completely radio silent) and the fact that Hollywood is playing around with it comes off as tone deafUsually a pretty good bet that when you think something looks stupid as hell from the trailer, it’s going to very badGhosted is not good. anyone who’s trying to date in 2023 has been ghosted and while it’s happened to me, I’ve heard some horrific stories (a woman who I dated said she was ghosted but a guy she dated for multiple years…that’s unfathomable to me)
