I did not like the new jumanji sequel
This is sad. I really liked the first one.

Jaws 2 is on HBO Zone. Possibly the most underrated sequel of all time.

It had too much Kevin Hart in it.

2nd Saturday of July folks. I've had the zoom lens out all week spying. Go down to the deli and get a beef sandwich. Happy 'Burbs day!
Already queued up for tonight
Good man!

I did too. This one had its moments, but was about 30 minutes too long and was clearly put together in a hurry based on the success of the first one. The kids did enjoy it.

I said underrated, not best.

I also want to go in record and state that Jaws 2 is a slasher flick. It follows all the tropes.

Palm Springs, on Hulu, is worth checking out. Even if you don't usually dig rom-coms, I'd give it a whirl.

Missing Link was a cute family flick, and better than expected.

The Old Guard (Netflix) was awful. At least, the first 30 minutes were, as I didn’t make it any further.

81% and Certified Fresh on RT. I had hopes that it didn't suck and you ruined them.

Family movie night was crouching tiger, hidden dragon and that movie is badass. It's been a long time since I've seen it, but it really is quite an impressive movie.

The opening fight between Yu Shen and Jen got a standing ovation when I saw it. In a movie theater. The bamboo fight actually moved me to tears; just so beautiful.

It's also kind of amazing that you get close to half an hour into the thing before there's any action, and yet it doesn't feel like it drags.

I watched the original Hanna film from 2012. It was good, but not as gritty as the series, more fantastical and like a fairy tale. I liked it though.

I really liked the movie but had been hesitant to check out the series. Probably gonna take the plunge now.

Greyhound was pretty good. If you’re into naval history, I would check it out.

I’m not sure the CGI would’ve held up on the big screen, so it works well on my TV.
The only cringe worthy thing I noticed was the ****-talkin’ Kriegsmarine sailor taunting over the ship to ship radio, which obviously didn’t happen. Not sure a U-boat would’ve attempted a surface attack, in daylight, against two escort ships either.
But definitely worth checking out, even if you only get a trial Apple TV+ sub to do it.

Also learned that the long delayed Spielberg/Hanks miniseries on the Eighth Air Force - Masters of the Air - will finally start production. In March 2021. Which means it will be at least 2 years before it airs.
